"What a wonderful place! Dog friendly and very well kept. They obviously take great pride in the care of this park. Just wish we had found it sooner on our trip."

"Absolutely LOVED kayaking here. Very serene with lots of wildlife. Walked the nature trail beginning of December and the water level is down so much that the kayak launch is more one to have to set your kayak in the water and then get in the kayak, instead of the usual slide right in. Drought will ease soon,I hope."

"This nature preserve is pure treasure. Stop by the interpretation center first for a map, info, and to help get oriented to the area. Then do the boardwalk. If it's nice out, hike more trails. Next have a picnic and play on the eastern side where you'll find a nature play area that is fun for all ages. They also have disc golf!! This is a very well maintained area but please be sure to take what you bring in."

"Took the pink marked trail (about 5mi) around the park. The trail wasn't blazed particularly well, as there were a lot of forks and side trails. It wasn't always obvious which way to go, but sticking to the widest, most traveled looking trail usually worked. There were a few spots that were almost too muddy to pass, but there was a warning posted about that. The scenery is amazing, and there are many disc golf holes to play. Will definitely be back for more exploring!"
