"We originally visited this bike shop to look for a bike mirror but I saw an e-bike and fell in love with it. I did not understand the concept of pedal assist. They explained everything to me so perfectly. The staff there were very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. From test riding to helping put the bike in the truck, the staff made quite the impression on us. We highly recommend this bike shop for all your biking needs. Jonah, Candace and Lesley were amazing! "I recently wheeled my bike into Real Bikes. When I entered the store there were other customers on the floor. Jonah immediately approached me and asked if I had a service question. I explained my issue and was pleasantly surprised when he said he could cut my steer tube and tidy my wires while I waited. Jonah did a fantastic job fixing my bike. "We rented an e-bike and a step-through bike from Real Bikes last Saturday and couldn’t have been happier. The online rental process was quick and easy and when we arrived to pick up the bikes they were ready and prepared for us. The person getting us started and giving us the instructions was wonderful (unfortunately I can’t remember her name). She was thorough and very helpful explaining the e-bike features and very friendly. The access to the Legacy Trail was right behind the bike shop and was super convenient to hop on right from Real Bikes. Both bikes were equipped with a water bottle holder and a bag attached to the handlebars and helmets were included. The bag was big enough to hold an extra water bottle, a phone, and the lock they also included. Unfortunately, one of our locks wouldn’t open with the combination they provided, but it was no big deal because we had the second lock to use and that worked just fine. Just to be safe, I would recommend testing the locks first though before leaving the store. The bikes were in nice condition and worked perfect for our ride on the Legacy Trail and around the town of Venice. I would definitely recommend giving Real Bikes a try if you’re planning on renting a bike."

It was my first time buying a bike - Scott was super patient - showing me all the different types of bikes I could consider, explaining all the differences of each one, letting me test them without a rush, informing me how it works when you buy from them in terms of maintenance and service. Extremely pleased with my overall experience. That same day I had gone to the 2 main bike shops in Sarasota and the service here was night and day!
