Le Colonial Naples

"This is a tough one — it’s extremely beautiful with a high-end interior but the food is surprisingly very bland and lacks flavors. The space is fun and very upscale. Everyone is dressed up a bit with most men in collard shirts. High attention to detail from the menus and uniforms to the decorations. The drinks were quite good as well. But food wise it lacked - the crispy spring roll was by far the winning dish followed by the pepper beef. Eveything else felt very watered down flavor wise and overly simple. The crispy egg noodles were flavorless and I wasn’t sure why it was in a broth. The halibut while cooked well was flavorless. The chicken dumpling appetizer was tasteless. I was expecting higher quality dishes with more interesting flavors."

"Wonderful experience our first time at the Naples locale. Exquisite food and delightful ambience. Probably not the most noteworthy item in the menu but the spicy chicken soup was a dream! Also loved the small plates. Will definitely come back for more."

"Ambiance & Service impeccable. Tableware, linens, and settings were lovely. The food was good. I ordered three starters as I was dining alone. Two of the ravioli and one pork shrimp wrap. Each dish of ravioli is made different, with rice noodles. The chicken and wood ear mushrooms were not that great. The long ravioli were good but very spicy, so be careful. Finished with Raspberry Soufflé which was good but not the best I've ever had."

"New to Naples, Le Colonial is an amazing French-Vietnamese fusion restaurant, reminding me of great Vietnamese food I have had in Saigon and Paris. The flavors and textures were all outstanding. I particularly enjoyed the fried nem (I failed to note the correct name on the menu) and the spicy shrimp stir fry. Sharing of dishes is encouraged, and everything I tried was wonderful. Each dish was well presented without being ostentatious. We were seated on the front patio, and the atmosphere was relaxing despite how busy the place was. Service was attentive but not rushed, leaving time to savor the dishes. We are eager to return."

"One of the most beautiful restaurants we’ve dined at. The food and service were exceptional, and the prices are extremely reasonable for the quality. We had 4 dishes and a side dish, a dessert to share, and each had a cocktail and a glass of wine and our bill came to $225 which we found reasonable for this type of restaurant. We went in with tempered expectations having read some reviews about poor service, however every team member we came across was professional, helpful and kind. Perfection isn’t something we expect when dining out - we’re all humans aren’t we? There was a misunderstanding with a buss girl and our leftovers were accidentally thrown out - there was only a small amount remaining and we would not have been upset, however without even asking the chef prepared a whole new meal for us to take home. A treat we appreciated the next day! We’re looking forward to our next visit. This spot is going to the top of our “must dine” list when we’re in Naples!"
