"I've been traveling all over the country since I was a young boy. I've stayed in nice places and not so nice places. The Stay Inn in Bartow is now at the top of my list of the all-time worst places I've ever stayed. Instead of a Queen or King bed, we had 2 double beds. I wouldn't even call them beds. No boxspring, just an awful rock of a mattress. Extremely uncomfortable. While unpacking, we noticed there was no place to hang up clothes. No closet. No nothing! The bathroom has no hair dryer, tissues, and their bath towels are only slightly bigger than a hand towel. Went to take a shower and found there was no hot water. Walked all the way to the office only to be told the maintenance person wouldn't be in for an hour. Went back to my room and turned on the hot water valve. Nearly 30 minutes later it started to get hot. Same thing happened the next day. Have also never seen a room without a coffee maker. What else? Let's see, the live roach in the room, a lampshade still with the plastic on it that you're supposed to remove. No soap. Just a small combo tube of shampoo/conditioner/body wash. When we returned to our room on our first day, neither one of our keys worked anymore. Back to the office again. No apology. This is just an overpriced dump, and under no circumstances will we ever stay there again."

"It appears outdated by looking at the outside. But it was quiet. No issues at all. The lounge was nice. I would stay again"

"$84 get you a simple room that looks nice the beds are very uncomfortable they're hard you get two pillows they're not fluffy it has a shower the curtains will touch you but it's clean it's neat and it's tidy. draw back... staff is a little curt when you're checking in I believe they were overwhelmed apparently this used to be a hot spot for celebrities back in the day they have pictures of them on the wall There is a bar directly behind the office and then the hotel and then there's also a nice place to eat in front of the hotel all crowded together our room unfortunately was right in front of the bar wasn't expecting that but it was a pretty quiet bar thankfully this night. The room is not dark there's a lot of light that comes in and when you first get there it is confusing to find the office when you're following Google Maps where they tell you to pull in at you have to pull all the way around to the back side of the hotel to find the office and it's a little sketchy but it's an okay place for the price I probably wouldn't stay there again and definitely wouldn't stay again for the beds my back is still killing me I never did make it to the pool so I can't tell you anything about that not even real sure where it was at"

"I stayed a night with my family and was a little worried from some reviews but it was clean and safe. No issues and great location with a bar and restrraunt on the same property. We will stay again."
