"The owner is amazing. The room we stayed in was as cozy and comfortable. Easy access to the beach and within walking distance from so many things. I will most definitely be coming back and staying here."

"This is a hidden gem on this beautiful white sand island! We prefer this area to the busy and crowded beaches by Clearwater side. A friend suggested this little place. We stayed the side building with a parking right right next to the room which was super convenient. We really enjoyed having a kitchen and being able to cook at the hotel. We had the whole building to ourself with the upstairs suite for grandma and first floor for our little family. It was the perfect location, just across the street from the beautiful the white sand beaches and clear water. We walked over to watch the sunset every evening. David at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. He gave some awesome suggestions for places to eat and to visit. We had a great time and recommend staying here if you want to get away from the crowded beach areas."

"Last minute decision for friends to join us. The motel owner provided a great room and great rate. Clean, decorative, great pool area with lots of seats. Free chairs and floats to use at beach across street. We stayed at Marriott across the street and booked this for friends. I’d rather of just stayed at this place than the Marriott and at a MUCH more affordable price."

"Truly a slice of old Florida. Prime location across the street from a fabulous Beach and just blocks and either direction to dining nightlife and more. This is a value location. Each room has its own individual personality and while the Furnishings are not new they are chic. The bedding is very nice and the linens are super comfortable. There's a wonderful pool nestled in the middle of the property and plenty of bikes and scooters to rent. If you're looking to hit the beach enjoy old Florida and not spend a pocket full of money I would absolutely recommend the Swashbuckler Motel"

"Location and price were what drew us here as we were spending most of our time outside. The owner was stressed when we arrived but provided a lot of information, and was quickly responsive to any questions. The property was quiet at night, which we appreciated. The AC was very good! Basic cleaning appeared to be done, although the edges around the room were where dust, sand, and old food bits had collected. One of the throw pillows had snot and vomit (both sides), so that was off-putting and made me wonder about the other pillows' cleanliness. Sheets appeared to have been changed. The bed and couch weren't the most comfortable but were fine for us. The kitchen had the basics we needed. The shower was small but adequate and had plenty of hot water. The room itself was very dated and in need of maintenance. We didn't try the pool, but it looked clean and inviting. It was an easy walk to the beach, shops, and restaurants."
