"Below is a piece of an email I sent to the General Manager, Mr McCarthy. On Feb. 2nd, my husband booked a room at your establishment in order to watch our family play softball in the college tournament. Subsequently, when we arrived at the room it was clear this was not the room we booked and reserved several weeks ago. We were not notified of this by email nor were we told when we checked in. Clearly we walked into the room and realized this was not the correct room. Upon returning downstairs, the Night Manager stated you personally had emailed or called all of the people who were bumped. This makes me ask myself bumping people clearly is your personal practice Mr McCarthy. After speaking with the Night Manager, I left and then went back to buy water. I heard him speaking to another employee, "I hate this overbooking because the General Manager does this, it happens all the time. We have had to move people around all day." My husband looked at his app and noticed that our reservation was changed without notification and then our card was charged prior to check in. We never agreed to these changes prior to being charged. Therefore, this is fraud. We had a written agreement through the online reservation. I believe your practice is a "bait and switch""

"Rooms was clean and hotel was quiet. Loved the amenities offered in the room. Everything you may need is there. Breakfast buffet had a good selection. Employees were friendly and helpful."

"This seemed to be a newer hotel - it is in an area that appears to have the beginnings of development, but the TownePlace was the only business there. Made for a decent view from the back for the time being since nothing has been built yet - you can see to the lake. There is a heated outdoor pool, it was 65 degrees our first day and 75 the second day, and the kids were more than comfortable in the water. I am more of a hot tub person, but doesn't seem to be a popular amenity at Florida hotels(likely due to the fact that the ambient air temperature usually resembles a hot tub most of the year) Breakfast was decent and kept up well. Front desk was friendly and helpful when we asked for a few more towels and pillows. Rooms were great, I love having a large fridge, microwave, and utensils for light meal prep like packing lunches while I'm traveling. Kitchen had everything I needed - knives, cutting boards, utensils, plateware, dish soap etc. There were two stove burners, and a note on the fridge said they had a "Travel cookbook" and things like blenders, crock pots, grilling utensils etc that you could borrow free of charge if you wanted to prepare a meal. There were two very nice Weber grills on the front patio, along with a fire pit. We chose this hotel as we were visiting with family in The Villages. There is also a Towneplace in the Villages, but we decided to try this one, and glad we did. It is only about 25 minutes, and was very well appointed. Thanks for a great stay!"

"Clean, quiet, comfortable, friendly staff. Breakfast was a bit underwhelming, but that's typical for hotels in general in this price range. I would stay here again."

"This is a really nice, clean, and new hotel. We came to town to visit family for two nights. I remembered that this hotel had been built fairly recently, so I booked a king room for my wife and I. We really liked the small kitchen, the almost full sized refrigerator was very helpful. We always bring drinks, and having the space of a larger refrigerator with an actual freezer for ice was great. The shower was a low entry version, very nice. The lobby and public areas clean and nicely appointed. Good coffee and breakfast selections. The hotel is close to the hospital and centrally located. We would come again. The very reasonable rate was a plus."
