"This hotel is a dump. I’d stay in my car before I stayed at this place again. The front desk staff were rude. And in hotel parlance, this hotel is in desperate need of a PIP (property improvement plan) by the franchise. The rooms were tired and it’s crystal clear that this operator is running on a shoestring budget. Not a single piece of furniture matched and it’s obvious the operator just cobbled together pieces from random hotel furniture auctions. The lamps didn’t match, the seating didn’t match. The wood furniture doesn’t match. This will be the last Townplace Suites that I ever stay in. Clearly, this flag doesn’t care what the operator throws together. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere."

"Old and run down like a motel. We were given terrible room selections, at the stairwell or over lobby. Went to let front desk know how unhappy we were, some guy starts with the hotel is long term and does not have many rooms for one nights stay. Then he asks numerous times if we would like to leave. He NEVER offered us another room. There were many rooms empty. We were there for radiation treatments and were tired and needed rest. 4:44 am guests were out our window chatting loudly. The windows and mirrors were filthy. Big hole in shower wall. The gentleman who does breakfast is very nice! Can not believe this is Marriott's acceptable standards."

"We recently stayed here for 2 months while dealing with some home damages/repairs. All of the staff (management, housekeeping, breakfast attendees, maintenance, and front desk) were all very friendly and professional. They all made us feel very welcome. I'd like to also say this hotel is very dog friendly. We brought 2 large dogs with us during our stay. They offer a dog walking area on premises. There is also ample parking. I did not use the pool or hot tub but did sit in the area. It was exceptionally clean and stocked with towels for guests. There is a daily breakfast that has lots of things to choose from. My favorite was the fresh waffles. The front desk also has fresh cookies available (daily)for the guests. The rooms were just renovated. We had a suite with a king-size bed. It was very comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with plates, cups, silverware, coffee makers, toasters, and pots and pans for cooking. There is also a washer and dryer available for your use. They were $2 per load. I brought my own detergent, but the front desk has it for sale if you need it. Housekeeping did a great job of keeping us stocked with whatever we needed. The location is wonderfully located right at Spanish Springs Town Square. There is nightly live music and a lot of restaurants to choose from. There are also a few places to shop for clothing. There is a Dunkin Donuts located in the Square also. That was a major bonus for us. Spanish Springs also has a lot of weekly/monthly events going on. Check their calendar for those events and times. All in all, this was a very positive experience for my husband and I. Thank you to all the staff for accommodating us during our stay."

"No place for a restful and relaxing vacation!! The dog keep in a room near mine was left unattended. The dog then acted like an alarm clock (whimpering, howling, barking, etc) forcing me out of bed by 6a - 7a and basically out of my room all day. The manager and front desk staff could care less; in fact, the dog's comfort was more important than mine. Housekeeping never stopped by during my four day stay. I am loyal to Marriott but will NEVER stay at this location again."

"This hotel is more like a motel. The furniture is old, the bathroom is run down and it surprising that Marriott has allowed their name to be brought down by a franchise owner like this. From now on I will ask if a hotel is a corporate owned hotel or a franchise. Apparently Marriott does not have quality control standards for their franchisees. In addition to this being a run down, old hotel with mismatched old furniture, the walls were painted stark institutional white and there wasn’t even one piece of art work in the rooms. This was a 2 room suite. The cherry on top was my husband is in a wheelchair. We needed a handicap room. They put us in a room that shared a wall with the mechanical room for the elevator. We heard the elevator all night."
