"OMG!! This place is horrible! The beds are just spring beds. There is a hole in the wall with toilet paper stuffed in it. It smells like a sewer going to the room and in the room. The sliding door has 2 screws in it so you can’t open it. We just noticed hair on the wall in the shower and just outside of the shower. We have to go down a mile to get any service from another hotel. We have never and will never stay in a place like this ever again."

"So yes I stayed here as a small child with my family and family friends. Some of the best memories of my childhood. I knew it was old but thought the pictures online was where it had been remodeled. I was looking forward to sharing a little nostalgia with my daughter for a quick recouping weekend. When we drove up it was nothing like the pictures. The lady at the Reef told my daughter if we didn’t like what we saw come back and she would see if she could help. This place is unsafe. It was so horrible in the rooms. This is a flop house. People actually live there. Be warned that the website doesn’t portray the place like it really is. Do not book. By the way we did not stay there. No way in hell"

"WHEN DID YOU TAKE THOSE PICTURES ON THE WEBSITE!? 1950s!? The hotel looks NOTHING like the pictures. It's sketchy and calling it "falling apart" would be very kind!!! It's been broken into repeatedly! Our room wasn't repaired after the last break in apparently... We got "upgraded" to the Seahaven... Don't go there either!! By all means, read my review about there too!!"

"I booked this place because it was cheep knowing it was an older hotel and had very low expectations before arriving. I didn’t have a problem with checking it at the other hotel (The Reef). We got the key after paying a 50 dollar key fee, that was refunded when we left. Pulling up to the hotel I was a little shocked but still I told myself low expectations it is cheap and on the beach. Getting out of the car was our 1st red flag. There were roaches covering the parking lot, and walking up to the room I noticed the leaking window unit that was tiny for a hotel room.! Immediately after walking into the room we saw roaches EVERYWHERE. The whole room was disgusting and smelled horrible. I do not believe it had been cleaned at all. It was late when we arrived, but I still went back to the office and was told I would have to come back at 7am to speak to management because they had no other rooms to move us to, between their three hotels, and there was nothing he could do for us. After sleeping in our truck for the night we went back to the office at 7 the next morning. The lady I spoke with was helpful and apologetic, they have issued me a full refund. We left and went to a completely different hotel not owned by these people. I get the hotel being older and not being the nicest but the roaches were absolutely disgusting and this place needs to be torn down. I would never stay here again and if you’re thinking about booking this place just DON’T. I wish I could add pictures because I took multiple of the different roaches."
