Courtyard by Marriott Pensacola

"This was my biggest mistake. I drive truck, came to see my grandkids 2 and 5 and take them to a motel with indoor pool. Upon, checking in she then informs me it’s not heated but hopefully we can still have fun! Me thinking it can’t be to bad take them to room, see the cot I was told I was gonna get wasn’t there, nor extra bed. Take them to pool and it’s beyond freezing! At a 140 you would think they could heat their pool or give you option to go elsewhere! Oh and their breakfast is insanely expensive. I got tater tot fully loaded a coffee and juice and it came to 31.98 I said something and lady said “oh wait, and yeah everything is good.” Later, I ask for a detailed receipt sure enough charged me for a 6 dollar juice I didn’t have and she saw it! Guy did take care of it, but it’s the point I will never stay here or recommend! If you don’t care for swimming or waiting for the shower to warm up forever then yes the rooms are really nice."

"Got a good night's sleep, which, frankly, I didn't expect after I saw that my room was adjacent to the elevator and near an ice maker. The indoor pool was great, if small and cold (it was December!). I didn't utilize the bar/restaurant, but appreciate the option. Staff was very nice and helpful - that counts for a lot."

"Nice clean quiet room. The Pool is not heated so that was a bust. They do have a Tapas bar for drinks and a bite. Not very appealing to families more for business travelers. Nothing for families or children. No coffee bar or breakfast muffins. They do sell starbucks brewed coffee at the wine bar."

"Let me start with, location isn’t bad. The hotel is clean. But the service? Awful. LaCresha, at the front desk, wouldn’t stop what she was doing (wiping down key cards with a wipe) to acknowledge us. We had to wait for her to finish, which took a few minutes, before she looked up to ask what we needed. We were a walk in, and when asked which ID to provide (my friend was military), she said normal ID. (I am aware that there is a military discount offered to active members). So I asked her about the military discount, and she went, oh it’s only for active members. No kidding, lady. We offered you the active member ID in the first place but you took the state Id instead. Her attitude throughout the whole encounter was dismissive and rude. She didn’t even provide proper instructions on where the room was. “The elevator is around the corner” and then went back to talking to her coworker. I’m sorry, but that doesn’t look good on Marriott."

"The hotel is located in a great location. We had a large group of 12 and the stay was flawless. Not sure why there are so many discouraging reviews. Marisa at the front desk was an absolute pro and helped facilitate a seamless check in for our group. I’m ambassador with marriot which got me a nice little upgrade that I appreciate very much. Comfortable spacious rooms, very clean and safe parking for all our gear. Easy checkout in the morning wit Lacresha who was also kind and helpful. This will be the hotel we stop in on travel through Florida."
