"I have been going to Debary Animal clinic for many years (10+) and that should tell you everything. Dogs to cat I would highly recommend as they have taken care of our loved ones like their own. Highly recommend."

"I would give 0 stars to the office manager and the vet if I could. First time pet owner, the resident kitty is our family cat that I took when I moved out. I found a kitty outside in need of a home, he was crying by the door every night. I came into this vet experience telling the vet tech that I ONLY wanted to do the exam and the feline leukemia test as I wanted to make sure that this cat would not be getting my kitty back at home sick. They told me that the test would take 10-15 minutes and that they could do it in office. They proceeded with the exam, since this new cat did not have his rabies shots yet they were precautious, they came in with a gown and gloves and treated his as if he had foam spewing out of his mouth. I understood as that is something very serious... however, the vet was examining his teeth and saying "oooh..." "oh no..." and when she was telling me what it COULD be she was avoiding eye contact and acting as if this cat had one day left to live or something.. She was acting as if she found something but did not know how to fully tell me. She stated his stomach felt full and that he would need a stool softener or some murilax. The exam was completed and then they quoted me a bunch of prices for all the other shots that he would eventually need. I told them I just needed to wait until pay day in 3 days for the remainder of the shots and again just needing the feline leukemia test and the exam. The price was above $200, I told the vet tech no again and she agreed to just do test and exam and then I signed something. They took my little kitty to the back and then I heard the vet say "I was probably being a little too cautious with his teeth... it is just better to be safe" and I thought to myself... never show fear when doing an exam until you have a better idea of what is going on. Anyways, they brought him back in to me - put him in the carrier and told me to go pay and to see them in 2 weeks. When I got to the front they told me he got his rabies shot and that the total price is $125. I was told on the phone that the exam is 75 and that the leukemia test would be 20. The bill had the $75 exam, a rabies shot for $30, and $22 for the gown they had to wear and the gloves plus the disposal of it. They never mentioned the disposal fee when they gave me the run down of the price, the one I agreed to pay when I signed. I told the nice woman at the front that I couldn't pay for that unless I gave them a card verbally because all I had was enough cash on me to pay for the price I was originally quoted. Front desk woman went and got the most unkind woman to speak to me, she insisted because I signed that I must pay it all. I told her I feel like they did what the mechanic does to people which is to take advantage of people who are not fully experienced in the line of work they do. The woman they brought up to me also said it is the law and that they MUST get a rabies shot, I figured that is fine and all - I fully get it but could someone have told me that instead of making it seem like they were just going to do the test and exam? I was not made aware that he NEEDED a rabies shot or that I had to pay $22 in disposal fees. When I signed, that was not the agreement and there was no paper that I signed - it was an electronic signature device. I am not complaining that I had to pay for those things, if that is how the cookie crumbles then that is that - the kitty definitely needed a rabies shot, it was just the lack of communication and giving me false expectations that they were going to do things they said they didn't. Needless to say, I will not be coming back to this location as they were not honest with me and I truly feel they took advantage of me."

"We have always received exceptional care for our for babies, and for us as parents at the DeBary animal clinic. Everyone from the people you talk to you on the phone, to the people who help you check out, to the people who make follow up calls, and the direct care staff and doctors are all exceptional and are a part of our extended family. Trust is an essential part of a relationship with your pets’ health care. We have the highest level of trust with everyone involved here. Thank you!"

"I foster dogs and have taken a number of them to DAC. In one instance, the dog needed to go to an eye specialist. Dr. Richie even contacted them so they could work together in order for the dog to get the best care. I've NEVER had a vet do that. There have been times that I needed to get a foster or one of my own dogs in right away. Maybe it was just luck, but I was able to get them in. When Dr. Richie or Dr. Sam talk to you, they talk slowly so it's easier to "soak it all in." I only wish we could get a discount for the rescue. Otherwise, I'm very happy with the service and care my dogs get."
