"On January 2nd, with excruciating pain in my arm, I went to the Emergency Room. After X-rays, The ER Doctor gave me medicines for my pain and a referral to the Orthopedic Specialist. On my way home, I called the orthopedics specialist's office, who did their best and booked me an appointment for January 11th. The orthopedic office informed me that for insurance billing purposes, besides the ER doctor’s referral, my primary doctor needed to send a referral to the orthopedic specialist, too. I called my primary Doctor, Gilberto Serrano's office, told them what was going on with my arm pain, and faxed the ER records. This “doctor” office (Orlando Physicians) didn’t send the referral to the Orthopedic specialist; when I called them and asked why, they said that the doctor's notes read: This patient has an upcoming appointment on January 22nd. He wanted me to lose my appointment with the Orthopedic specialist on January 11th and to wait in pain up to January 22nd so he could give me then the referral! Billing for my visit on January 22nd was more important than my well-being! Well, I missed the appointment with the Orthopedic specialist today, January 11th, because my primary doctor first wanted to invoice my insurance company for it. Dear Orlando Physicians and Doctor Gilberto Serrano, I do not trust you have my health or best interest in mind, so I just changed to Sanitas. Good luck with Orlando Physicians and Dr. Gilberto Serrano people, but if I were you, I would think very well before giving my health care to someone who has in mind the dollar sign first."

"I was very pleased with the friendliness of everyone at Orlando Family Physicians. The wait time was very minimal and even though I had my first appointment it was over two hours long but it did not seem that long to me because the entire time I was laughing with the staff. I don’t ever recall laughing at a lab where blood was being drawn but I did laugh there as well. Like I said it was a long appointment t but this is a self contained facility I actually had 4 different services; lab work, an EKG, a visit with a Dr. and the initial visit for a new patient. This would have taken me 4 different visits to 3 different places everywhere else. Very pleased and glad I am a new patient at Orlando Family Physicians!"
