"Good local selection when you need stuff quick, but employees always seem like there is something more important than doing their job. Dangerous environment with many tripping hazards and sharp items that can cause injury."

"I just left this Dollar General located on Tropicana next to Mariner High school. I walked in about 9:40 p.m. and the back half of the store seemed a little dim. I went in to get a couple groceries and about 5 minutes into me being inside the store the sales associates decided to turn off all of the lights except for the ones up by the register. I was at the back of the store and could barely see where I was going as I fumbled my way with my shopping cart to the self check out. I assumed that meant they were closing early so I went to the front of the store and checked out. I would have gotten the rest of my items but I'm not going to be rudely shooed out of the store nor am I going to shop in the dark. There were a couple of young girls working so I can only assume they did it on purpose as they decided to make an excuse once I was at check out that the lights were on a 'timer'. I worked retail before, I know better. I literally left the store at 9:50pm and am now home all before their closing time at 10pm. Absolutely unprofessional and just plain rude."

"The manager of this store is amazing! I came with my two little kids to purchase a kiddy pool without even thinking that I was driving a sedan. He helped me put it in my trunk and even brought me a small bungie from within the store just to make sure I was able to have the pool set up for my kids. Amazing customer service you can’t find anywhere else!"

"This store has made vast amount of improvements! New management has taken over the last few months and I personally can see the change in the store ! This store is close to home and convenient, I can see the 180 change in this store compared to what it used to be ! You can tell that management is trying to instill quality and cleanliness throughout! If people of the community would take pride in their local stores and not come in and destroy it like trash , people would have nicer places to shop at !"

"This is one of the NASTIEST places I have ever walked in to. The smell of sewer was so overwhelming that we had to leave..this was the condition on the outside of the store.. I know that many customers of waste mngt. Are having pick up problems...but all trash cans we observed were overflowing and trash was all over the place..More so, I felt aweful for employee made to work with the stench of sewer. This place sk This store should be shut down by the healthboard until this SEWAGE problem is resolved!"
