"I turned to this service for grief management, after a family member was taken off life support. I started my sessions as an optimist, looking for the tools to help me cope. I ended the sessions without the will to live. I have to call a friend to vent about how horrible and shallow my doctor is, they have no empathy. I literally broke down for twenty minutes about the difficulty of having witnessed my aunt being pulled off life support, only for my “psychiatrist” to respond “Ok, but back to you. Have you tried those meds?” He is completely insensitive, and absolutely unequipped to deal with grief management. I made it clear that I was grieving, and needed emotional support, and he suggested that if I quit smoking weed, it would solve my problem. What kind of a practice are you running? Your doctors clearly do not have extensive knowledge on mental health management, nor are they equipped for talk therapy. I find it extremely unprofessional that the sole interest of your practice is pushing pills and encouraging patients to pop them without hesitation. Thanks for the “help.” I could’ve have received better advice from the cashier at a grocery store. I was completely scammed, and am being charged for hour long sessions, most of which have lasted from 12-20 minutes. This is unacceptable. I made it very clear when I signed up for your practice that I was seeking a woman, who specialized in grief therapy. Instead, you gave me a man who specializes in substance abuse who refuses to acknowledge that I am experiencing grief, and is instead hell bent of convincing me that I am a drug addict who should quit smoking weed and start gobbling up pills. I would never recommend your practice to anyone. This is the worst experience I have ever had in my life, and has completely turned me off on the idea of therapy. If this is the help you can offer, I’m clearly better off suffering in silence. Steer clear of this place if you’re looking for actual help, all they’re interested in is pill popping."
