"Kindness, love and compassion are rarely equated with psychological support. Instead, there is often a “stigma” associated with the help that we all-too-often fight, or refuse to accept. I know because, after losing the love of my life after 53-years, I was lost within the ugly thoughts of what I would now face. My total being felt like a jigsaw puzzle, with each of the 1,000 pieces thrown everywhere; each integral part a broken segment of my heart unsure exactly “how” to rejoin together. Deep down inside I knew that I had to do something; I had to turn somewhere for help because, alone, I wouldn’t survive. I couldn’t survive.
