The Henderson Spa

"This is a fantastic spa with all the amenities and activities we needed to relax and get ready afterwards onsite. We used the Sauna, jacuzzi, experiential shower, plus they had a great waiting area to curl up with a good book. AND the massage services were marvelous. We followed it all up with lunch in the hotel restaurant (I forgot the name) where the fish sandwich and shrimp cocktail were delicious and fresh. I'll be back!!"

"My husband and I came here for the weekend for our anniversary and booked a couples massage. We tried to book online but kept getting an error. I called in to book and was able to get an appt, but we weren’t asked about any add ons, and weren’t provided much information about the spa. When we got to the hotel we saw that there were options and figured we are supposed to add them on when we went in for our appt. Though, the girl at the front desk said there wouldn’t be any time to do any “add ons” and didn’t bother to provide ANY information on what might be available as an add on. She said she could try and get the hot stones warmed up and would check. In the lounge room the person there was crouched down on her phone and didn’t see I came in. Gave me shoes and a very brief overview of the locker. Didn’t explain the amenities, nothing. I ended up asking someone else and she gave me some information and I had to ask if I could get a glass of Prosecco. For the message itself the technicians were very nice and unaware we had asked for hot stones. They said could do salt stones, so we took that. The room was hot and stale, they said they didn’t know what was up with the a/c, or why it was so hot in the room. We were sweating the entire time and they ended up putting cold towels on us instead of hot ones because of how hot it was in the room. Overall, $250 EACH for a 50 minute massage with absolutely lack luster service was very, very disappointing. Very likely we will not stay at this resort again, the entire stay has been disappointing."

"The spa was beautiful and nicely decorated, but I felt it was underwhelming overall. I booked the hot stone massage at 9am and moroccan scalp massage. They opened around 8:45, so I didn't get to capitalize on the amenities for an hour before and after services. The treatments were good although a bit harder than I prefer. Robes lacked quality material and there were no privacy options for undressing in the locker area. Water/drinks weren't offered. Definitely not the $350 experience I was hoping for."

"Excellent massage! Did the Himalayan stone massage. Very relaxing and therapeutic. The eucalyptus steam room and experiential shower were both very pleasant as well. Quality all around!"

"Okay guys this is the only real spa in the Destin area. It’s the real deal, like a spa in the Lowes or the W Hotel. The Lavender Lounge is just gorgeous, luxurious and relaxing. The chaise loungers will have you in your ‘zen’ as soon as you sit down. I had one of the best facials of my life, the Essential Balancing Facial with an enzyme peel add on. AMAZING. Grounds are beautiful, my friend and I spent about 12 hours total at the Henderson Beach Resort starting at the spa and then heading to Happy Hour for apps and cocktails! Also the rooftop terrace is so intimate and beautiful as well! Can’t say enough great things about HBR!"
