"If I could leave 0 stars, I would. Annual exam was quick, but no med tech in the room as assistant or witness. Birth control was pressured on me because I have pcos despite family history of blood cots, expressed I do not want children but Bernal said it makes it easier for you to have children down the line should I change my mind. Said she doesn't believe in societal pressure of women being baby makers but continued to sell. Least of the issues. Annual exam was billed as nonpreventative, had to fight with office and business office for a week for this to be corrected, ordered ultrasound as preventative care but documented that she ordered it because I have irregular periods, which is a lie. I never said that I have irregular periods because i don't, told her my pain has been manageable, and nothing is wrong. I even said that my last ultrasound just a few months ago was the best ultrasound ive ever had, my irregularities were for the most part all gone and prev gyn said we would follow up with another ultrasound only if any other concerns pop up. Bernal insists she wants to check up. Sure. But she's lying on paperwork about why. Then orders bloodwork, also claiming to be preventative care, but I get to Quest and I have a balance of almost $300 because she coded it as PCOS and nonpreventative, that I'm reporting issues. Quest and my insurance said what they are testing should be covered, and both Quest and my insurance were also very confused about the doctor's office is not coding correctly. I have never been charged for an annual or bloodwork at any other office for these same tests. When explaining the documentation was incorrect and dishonest, med tech Carla said "huh, yeah I don't know why the doctor coded it like this. I will have to check." Office manager gets back to me and says "sooo you're NOT doing the bloodwork then? That the doctor ordered? Okayyyy" No, I did these tests just a few months ago and everything was fine, ultrasound was fine and these were ordered because of Bernal's insistence, not because I had any concerns. I did not go in for concerns, I went in for an annual pap and again, just the ANNUAL pap and pelvic exam were things they were trying to charge me for because "well you DO have pcos." So what?? I'm not doing the bloodtests if it's hundreds of dollars for no reason and without cause. "But do you or do you not have pcos? You do have pcos, correct?" When I first found Bernal in November, she had 4.9 stars. Coming back to these reviews and seeing the traumatic reviews that were written just in the last couple weeks, couple months, have been shocking in the same issues of incorrect, dishonest paperwork with blatant lies, dismissal of patients, dishonest prescriptions, and rude behavior. Do not go to this doctor."

"Making an appointment was fast and easy. I was seen for my appointment on time. As a matter of fact, I arrived a bit early and was seen before my appointment time. Everyone was pleasant-front desk, medical assistant and doctor. Dr Bernal looks you in the eye and listens to your concerns. I highly recommend her."
