Miami Ob Gyn Dreams

"I have never written a bad review before but I have to warn everyone to run away from this place. This was my go-to OB/GYN for the past two years but after the treatment I received from this office, I was left in disbelief. I started to go over my explanation of benefits (EOB) from my insurance and noticed I was being overcharged $20 more. I called the office and spoke to the billing department manager Niurka (sister of Dr. Nurys Serpa). She was very rude and unprofessional over the phone from the start. I tried to explain to her I was being overcharged and I should have a credit. She informed me that my insurance and I were wrong. She told me I need to call the insurance MYSELF and fix the problem (Mind you I work for a doctor and I do billing and if there is something wrong with a claim, as a professional biller your job is to call the insurance and resolve the problem for your office and your loyal patients). I took her unprofessionalism and called my insurance. I explained to them how this office was overcharging me. They called the office and spoke to Niurka and she informed them that they were wrong in processing the claim and that the office WILL NOT reimburse any credit back to me. I went to my appointment today to speak to Dr. Nurys Serpa hoping she had any common sense regarding this mess. She was waiting for me at the front desk as a watch dog (A total different person from last times I've seen her). Right off the bat she told me I had no credit and they have been charging me correctly. She didn't even have the diligence to look over my EOBs or hear me out. I canceled my appointment and left. As of today, my insurance has escalated an investigating for potential breach of contract. PLEASE DO YOUSELF A FAVOR AND STAY WAY FROM THESE CROOK DOCTOS. And if you're a patient there, please look over your EOBs because they are pocketing EXTRA money that is NOT THEIRS! They should change their office name to Miami OB/GYN NIGHMARE!!"
