Hertz Car Rental - Ocala - 10th Street HLE

"The general manager was quick in processing our car rental. The car was perfect for us just to drive around the Orlando and Kissimmee area. They suggested we get a Sun Pass as we are going through a few toll roads from Ocala to Reunion Resort in Kissimmee. We are Canadians and we are not too familiar with the process. No problem with the car. Return to MCO was simple. We asked about filling up the car before returning because our flight was at 5:20 am and we had to leave the resort around 1:30 am. The general manager was kind enough to put a half tank on our contract! But we filled it before returning the car."

"These guys were absolutely great. They picked me up from the collision center and brought me back when my car was done. Their prices were reasonable and they couldn't have been friendlier. I will definitely use them again next time I need a rental."

"The employee locked the door in my face despite arriving promptly on time for my reservation. Like to the second. I had to contact Hertz customer service and email them to get it resolved as this location/ employee was going against their own policy of holding reservation for two hours for gold members. Let alone two seconds. Definitely don’t go here or use Hertz if this is the type of incompetence they employ."

"I went to Hertz in December 15th to rent a car they gave me an electric car with only 19 in power told me I had to find a place to put the power on I couldn't find one I didn't use the car for 2 days they gave me another one and ..told me I would not be charged for the upgrade for my inconvenience. . I got there on time and drop the car off . First thing out of his mouth is there's dog hair and that I had to vacuum it I said oh my god I've never had a place tell me that before okay he said he's going to charge me for vacuum. .. they charged me 695 it was supposed to be 300. I've never had a worst experience in my life I've been renting cars for 30 years and on top of it I asked for a ride to go home they said they don't do that I end up stuck in Ocala downtown to 5:00 am in the morning I couldn't get a ride I called Uber Lyft taxes friends had no luck my 20-minute ride they could have gave me home ending up being the worst night of my life , if they tell you something get it in writing . I do not recommend this place if you want somebody that got your back. They're sneaky and the owner I only saw twice and he seems very very money hungry not customer care at all and that's my opinion"

"This place is an absolute joke. Do everything you can to avoid here! When I walked in, I was already treated like I was bothering them by being there. After taking the transaction, I was given a Kia Soul. I opened the car and there were questionable stains and cigarette burns all over the place. The pungent odor of cigarette and marijuana and cats(?) came fuming out as soon as the door opened. I couldn't drive that car, as I have a child and a spouse that are allergic to cats and dogs and I couldn't in good conscience expose my family to those smells. I give them a call and I am on hold for 17 minutes after I ask for an exchange. I am granted an exchange. A Toyota Camry. This car's tires on the vehicle made it undrivable! Almost 80% bald. The back tires were bald AND fraying. VERY DANGEROUS VEHICLE. I apologize, because I hate complaining, and show them the tires. They agree it is unsafe and say the only car left is a Toyota Corolla. Very small for my family of 4. There were numerous vehicles on the lot that could have been substituted including numerous SUVs and full size sedans. I gratefully accept the small car to avoid making any more waves. (I already felt like a major nuisance) He gives me the keys to the Carolla, but forgot my paperwork. As I am waiting for the paperwork, I am stricken by the fact that he attempted to give the VERY NEXT CUSTOMER THE SAME EXACT RED CAMRY! Luckily, she saw the tires and explained she couldn't drive it either. I have had the Carolla for almost a week and now it suddenly has a LOW TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT on. I check and all 4 tires do not have caps on the valves! I emailed a complaint just to get a safe car and haven't heard back in over 3 days. Case number:19179067"
