"No stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just tried to make an appointment for my husband. CASH PAY. Was told we don't accept cash pay patients. WTH??? Tried to get the receptionist to explain the rationale for that ridiculous policy and she said " I don't know. We just don't" Very poor customer service and first impression. I guess they would rather accept insurance (at a reduced rate) and wait and argue with insurance for their money that have cash!!!! This actually says to me everything that I need to know about this doctor and his clinic. Will gladly go elsewhere."

"I am a recently retired MD from Michigan visiting your beautiful area for 3 mos. My practice for 42 years has been internal medicine with certification in geriatric Medicine. Most of my work was consulting and teaching geriatrics. My wife while here became I’ll with a rare medical problem on top of a very painful secondary problem. This led to an emergency visit at Thomas Hospital. The ER physician recommended Dr Allen in Foley as did many people where we are staying. His staff was kind to get us in in 3 days. Now let me say that my wife’s medical issues would have challenged the best physicians in any academic medical teaching hospital. I informed Dr. Allen what our conclusions were but informed him that we still were not sure what was causing this. I was very impressed how quickly Dr. Allen was able to comprehend and address 3 serious problems and come up with choices for a plan of care. Three days after the visit there has been significant improvements and my wife is well on her way to recovery. I have been around hundreds of physicians in the academic world and Dr. Allen is what we hope all young physicians would become. He is very bright, understands medicine very well and is empathetic and kind with good follow up. You are very fortunate to have him in Foley Alabama."
