"I am thankful to have found this Pediatrician. They accept Medicaid - Sunshine. They respect parents decision to not vaccinate, as I have a religious exemption. Many other pediatricians are discriminating against parents like me, Not Dr. Ruiz! I highly recommend their practice, especially if you care about freedom of choice for your children."
"Avoid taking your child to Maria Ruiz Acevedo!!! No effort at all to connect with the child! Terrible bedside manner, very dismissive… We did blood and urine test, there were 2 indicators high / abnormal… She never bothered to discuss it, never mind try to figure out what’s going on. And the last thing, which made me change the doctor! She prescribed antibiotics pending test results … I came in to the office to get the results (they don’t post them on the portal), so the test done on the 22nd, revived by the lab on the 23rd, results were reported back to the doctor on the 25th … She had someone call to cancel the prescribed antibiotics only on the 29th!! 4 extra days of antibiotics for the child … why?? So my advice, AVOID!! P.S. the only positive thing, is the girls at the receptions are very polite and welcoming"
"She is amazing, she definitely caters to the wants and needs of the parent and child. Dr. Ruiz-Acevedo is kind understanding and informative. Also all of her staff are very welcoming, they all have a way of making my child feel comfortable."
