Dr. Genon M. Wicina, MD

"I love Dr. Wicina, but I can no longer recommend her or any other doctor associated with Cleveland Clinic. We have a Christian health share program that covers everything except for preventative care - for that we are self-pay. We have never had an issue being self-pay until they changed their billing practices at Dr. Wicina’s office. I was charged over $1,500 for a doctors visit, 2 shots, and a hemoglobin test even though I called ahead of time and was quoted $150 for a preventative visit. In the past, we’ve been charged $12 for a shot - this time I was charged $1,000 for two shots. Yes, you read that right, $1,000 even though my kids had visited the same office less than a year prior for $12. I am truly in shock. And they just keep telling me this is what we charge. I looked up the CDC cost of those shots - $23."

"Never really had an issue with the dr it’s more of the staff there. They never pick up the phone nor do they return phone calls. I called and left a message about my child and didn’t hear from them till 2 weeks later. They have horrible communication and customer service"

"Dr. W. has been our two kids pediatrician for more than 8 years and we love her and the staff in the office. Getting appointments is easy and the staff is always helpful. When Dr. W. is in with our kids, she goes out of her way to make them fell comfortable and important. Would strongly recommend her."

"By far the best pediatric practice ever. The sick kid hours, the separate waiting rooms for sick kids and wellness-visit kids, the amazingly kind, personable, and professional staff, and Susan Bravo and Dr. Wicina in perfect synchronicity. They have cared for my son since he was very young, and they will keep him on as his primary care team until he graduates from college or turns 25-yrs. old. He was ecstatic to find out that he wouldn't have to find a new doc just because he turned 18, and we were ecstatic that he has such a great doc that we all trust to call upon if he needs something - even from Gainesville. To the poor mom who made such derogatory statements about them being unable to see her preemie, I understand how frustrating and stressful that would be. However, I also think that if my baby had been in that much distress, I would not have taken him to his doc's office to begin with; he would've gone straight to the ER. (My son was also pre-term - 6 weeks, as was I - 8 weeks. If it's any consolation, we both turned out pretty well.) Best wishes to you and your baby. :)"

They are always quick to give a phone call back if you have a question. I love both Dr. Bravo and Dr. Wicina they are so loving, attentive to my daughters needs and Thorough.
