"My experience with Dr. Gannon has been difficult from the time of my mother admittance to Memorial Regional Hospital a few weeks ago and presently since her surgery. If I could give him zero stars I would for his rude behavior, non-compassionate nature, he absolutely has no people skills, and does not care about how the patients feels nor their pain levels during their post surgery. He doesn't like to answer questions when you have general concerns and when you are new to the process of the surgery journey. He cuts you off when speaking and trying to find understanding and is very condescending. I wanted to post this review about him because I have been very disappointed with his treatment of how he speaks to me and my mom. He may be a great doctor and the surgery was a success but his rapport is super lack-luster and he is disrespectful with people disregard for people's feelings, concern, and well-being when it comes to understanding surgical procedures. I will be escalating this further to the board of commissioners about my experience during my mom's recovery."

"08/17/2016 my mom and I met Dr Gannon while still processing her pancreatic cancer diagnosis. He explained the surgical procedure and possible complications so well. He completely put us at ease. Un fortunately my mom died 7 months later, but I am eternally greatful for the kindness he showed us."

"My father was admitted to Memorial Hospital back in May 2023. He was diagnosed with a blockage which turned out to be colon cancer. Dr. Gannon was by the grace of God my father?s surgeon. He not only removed the cancer but also avoided my father, having to have a colostomy bag which would have required another surgery. I truly believe my 87-year-old father would not have survived if he didn?t have a surgeon who was as skilled as Dr. Gannon. My father was in the hospital for about a month and Dr. Gannon did not miss a day visiting him to check on his progress. He also answered all of our families questions throughout the process. I highly recommend Dr. Gannon . My family and I are very grateful to him and his staff for giving my father the gift of more time on this planet."
