Best Buy

"We went to Best Buy to look at their dryers, our died yesterday. They had rearranged the store since our last visit. We headed in the direction we thought was to the appliance department only to be side tracked as we walked pasted the TV's. We stopped just to look. We were greeted by Jacob N. He told us all about the new technology etc...we said we need a dryer, he said I can help you with that too. Long story short, we bought 2 appliances and a new computer all with Jacob's help and unbelievable knowledge. He answered all our questions and when he wasn't 100% sure he pulled up a video explaining what the feature was. A fantastic visit to Best Buy. I'm still thinking about the TV."

"This Best Buy takes care of business. Pure and Simple. I've unfortunately had to pay a visit here more than a could of times for repairs when my Computer crashed. After enough times the staff knew me by name. The Geek Squad is very polite and professional. Even if you do something really dumb with your device, they keep it professional and politely try to give you some advice. Their prices for their products are always reasonable."

"I really enjoy the old fashion service you receive at Best Buy. The Sales & Technical people are well educated and experienced to answer my questions. It's like having a direct conversation with the manufacture. Products these days in most cases cost thousands of dollars and I want to be absolutely sure that I fully understand the applicable details before l buy. The only thing l did like is that u have to make appointments to meet with each department. It's not them. It's me. I'll get used to it. In the long run it's likely to be the most efficient way to run the business. I just wanted to buy a new cell phone before I left. I ran out of time and couldn't wait. Again this was not their fault rather a lack of understanding on my part. I've been a Best Buy customer since 1989"

"I turned my computer in on 1/2/2024 to have a new hard drive installed. I called yesterday (1/8/2024) to get a status. When you call the store number, it redirects you to someone in Panama who doesn’t have a clue or clear pronunciation of words. I called again. Same thing. Even their so-called “customer support agents” can’t contact the store where my computer is at. They take your information. Promise a call back. Then nothing. One agent explained that corporate prefers that store staff deal only with customers who are physically in their store. Well I was physically in their store a week ago and i physically dropped off my computer and i physically paid a lot of money to have it repaired in a timely manner. With that, I physically will never use or recommend Best Buy or Geek Squad. Ridiculous!"

"I visited this Best Buy in September 2023, during the week. I went in for a certain item. I noticed that the store didn't seem all that neat and organized. They had items in general areas. But it seemed like I had to hunt around more than in the past, in other stores. I found the area that I needed to be in, then started hunting to compare different items. It's like different brands and such get their own displays. Certain brands seem way more visible, with others kind of hidden away, harder to locate or see. I then had a sales person who swooped in for the kill and seemed to know less about the store than I did. And this was my first visit. I had to point things out and find my own item, since she seemed more like the unknowing customer. But she did find the item, when I pointed out the item that I decided to purchase. It was right there locked in the cabinet. So I could check out now. At that time there were two people who seemed desperate for help. I told her that I could just check out at the desk close by with other folks, or at the front of the store. I told her then she could help these people. But she said that they could wait, and checked me out herself. I can only assume there must be a commission involved. I was disgusted that I asked her to help folks who actually needed help, for her only to go against my wishes and check me out herself. Maybe she thought I was the criminal type and was going to run out the front door with the item. I will point out that it wasn't all that expensive either. Not inexpensive, but not expensive either. So I hope there is no commission involved and she just felt a need to do what she did. But I doubt it. I really don't know why I go to Best Buy anymore for purchases. It doesn't seem like the same store anymore. Maybe this Ocala store is just not up to standards. But other stores also seem way less appealing anymore. The bottom line is that I did a good job as an unpaid salesperson for Best Buy. The person getting paid, just handed me the item and punched the buttons on the computer to check me out. But I got what I went for. So mission accomplished. But I probably should start looking to other stores since I got the impression that Best Buy feels they have no competition. As such, the store has gone into maximum profit mode over quality sales service."
