"First time visiting. I wanted to see what all the hype was about. The margs were strong, and delicious! Kim was our waitress. She was sharp but stretched thin. The highlights: (other than the margs) the mushroom appetizer was good, eggplant fries with marinara was decent. I had a bowl of chicken Lemon soup. It was pretty good. I guess in the future I'd try Gambinos again. I didn't order an entree because I was still full from lunch. On my next visit I will make sure to post an edit."

Her service was a significant part of why our dining experience was so extraordinary. We cannot overstate the impact that Gambino's had on our special night. Leaving Alabama with full hearts and sated appetites, we are already planning our next visit. It's rare to find a place that not only meets but surpasses your dining expectations—Gambino's Italian Grill is that rare gem. We'll definitely be returning, and we encourage anyone who finds themselves in Alabama to stop by and allow the team at Gambino's to create a memorable experience for them, too. "This was my first time eating here, and I can't believe it took us so long. Our server Sarah was great. She told us the special and gave wine and food recommendations which were quite useful. We had the artichokes for an appetizer. I had the lasagna while my husband had the taste of Italy for our entrées. All of it was great! We can't wait to take out of town guest next time they come to visit. The portions are plenty big, enough for lunch leftovers the next day. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable. My son tried my lasagna leftovers and wants to go, so we'll be back soon!"

"The atmosphere was neat. The lights were dim enough to be romantic, but not too dark. The place had some cool decorations that didn’t make it feel like a chain restaurant, so that was nice. I kind of felt like our server might have been having a bad day. It started out ok, but she didn’t seem happy to be at work. She spilled my husband’s dish on the tray and then when she put it on the table, it sloshed on him and she didn’t even acknowledge it. Maybe she didn’t notice she did that. I was a server and I understand sometimes you just have bad days. We ordered 2 entrees with 2 appetizers and some sides, because we wanted to try different things. My husband ordered the chicken sorrentino and he said it was flavorless and the chicken just tasted like boiled chicken. And it was very watery. I ordered the chicken Alfredo and the sauce was amazing but I felt the same about the chicken. The gumbo was incredible! I love gumbo and this was very delicious!"

"We tried this place on the recommendation of our hotel. The cowboy steak was a good choice for two. We had the eggplant fries and lobster bisque for appetizers. A lovely Barbera Red bottle for the table. Followed by bread sticks and a delicious salad... then the steak! We could barely finish half of the 24 Oz beastly bone-in ribeye. It was fantastic! Jan was our server and she did a most excellent job serving us with a pleasant attitude and a smile on her face. We will come again!"
