"Greetings, I am interested in enrolling my son in this Dojo, where can I get information please? I think the management is wrong, and it is the only Dojo in Ocala that has the discipline that my son practices, which is Karate Do! Can someone guide me? thank you !!!"

"My daughter, Maddy, has been attending Ocala Karate Dojo for 3 years now. She looks forward to the going every day. It is a family friendly environment that I enjoy. I highly recommend the Ocala Karate Dojo for after school care as well as their day camps summer break."

"My son started at OKD when he was 5 because he was very scarred of everything. In a few short months, Bill Woodard, and all of the other instructors, guided him, trained him and helped him overcome his fears. After 6 years, my son loves his second family at OKD and we highly recommend them to anyone looking for a safe, structured, family friendly Karate Dojo for themselves and their children. I personally will begin my Karate journey in 2 weeks with OKD and I am looking forward to it."

"My son is a student at Ocala Karate Dojo, and it has been a life changing experience for him! He has gained amazing skills in karate, becoming a brown belt, and competing in competitions (and winning!). But in addition to that he has also gained more respect, discipline, strength, kindness, and so much more. He calls Ocala Karate Dojo his second family. :) I HIGHLY recommend them."

"My son Liam has been going to Ocala Karate Dojo since January 2017. He was 3 years old when he started. About a month later he turned 4 years old. Today he is 5 1/2 years old. So, let me tell you what happened this year starting in January 2018 at his first ever AAU Karate competition he received a Gold medal in Kubudo (Weapons) a Silver in Kata (Forms) and a Gold in Kumite (Sparing). He got 3 Medals for each of the five Tournaments he went to, 15 in total. He won the State of Florida points total for his 5-6 year age group and was State Karate Champion. He qualified for the 2018 AAU National Championship in Fort Lauderdale at the end of June. During Nationals, being part of this dojo brought our family together for about a week. Nine of us got together to watch Liam compete. Liam won Gold and became the 2018 National Champion in Kubudo and Kumite and won Silver in Kata 2 flags to 1. Barely missing Gold. After he finished competing and while walking back to the hotel sitting on my shoulders like all 5 years olds do he said "Dad can I tell you something" I said sure an he said "I'm really proud of myself". Then about a month later, end of July, we went to Iowa for the 2018 AAU Junior Olympics. Seven of us fly to Iowa to watch Liam compete. This time he won 3 Gold Medals. On Saturday Gold in Kubudo and Kata. Then on Sunday in Kumite. Liam 5 years old had to fight another boy that was 8 years old and more then a head taller then him. He was down 2 - 0 when, with 15 seconds left he scored his first point and then tied with 2 seconds left. That meant the match was going to Sudden Death, first one to score wins. Liam completes the come back and took Gold. In August when driving he said to me, "Dad, can I tell you something?" I said sure. And he proceeded to say "I wish we lived down the street from Hanshi (Bill Woodard) so that I could practice with him all the time." You can see by Liams comments how much Ocala Karate Dojo has done for him. It's given him confidence, he's learning to compete, he's on a team, he has goals to strive for, he has met lots of new friends, he won State, Nationals and Junior Olympics, he's got to travel, he's been in the Local paper, AAU Karate posted a video of his Gold medal Kata at Junior Olympics on there website that had thousands of views, he's learning discipline, he's memorizing Black Belt Katas, he's learning Kubudo Katas (weapons) and he is on his way to Black Belt. "A Black Belt is a White Belt that never Quits." Liam was just promoted to Blue Belt in September 2018. Now, his dad, me, Mark 52 years old, fat (307 lbs) and out of shape just started taking Karate lessons and my 11 old son Ian started in there after school program. So, I recommend Ocala Karate Dojo to those parents that are out of shape, to help them get in shape, to those parents that are in shape as something to do to bond with your kids, to those parents that simply need an after school program for there kids that is extremely affordable, to those that actually want to be on a team and compete. This Dojo has something for everyone."
