"Guardian health has been an excellent place for my wife, daughters (6yr and 2yr), and I to receive care. Whether I’m on the phone scheduling an appointment, checking in at the front desk, or speaking with Dr. Whapshare and/or his medical care staff, the encounter is always top notch. Highly recommended!! A++"

"Sherry Rogers is the first healthcare practitioner to take some of my health concerns seriously. She really listens. The whole office has a welcoming atmosphere."

"Ive had plenty of doctors in 30 years of life so far, living in Austin/Memphis/Houston/Dallas/Chicago & now Sarasota, FL. Dr. Whapshare and Jessica Leon are easily two of my absolute favorites. I feel comfortable and well taken care of every time I interact with them. They are knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I can’t say enough good things. The entire staff is kind and helpful. Im happy I stumbled across this provider moving here a year ago. Highly recommend."

"True confession. I avoid going to the doctor at all costs. Most physician reviews that I write are for visits involving family members, as I prefer the driver and caretaker roles. That being said, when Dr. Whapshare left a larger practice to start his own and I tagged along for a visit with my husband, I decided the time had come to have a physician for myself. I'm so glad I did! First of all, the office is easy to find, on Venice Island. The parking lot can be accessed from different streets and there's plenty of parking. The office is new and bright and spacious. When you walk in, there is a desk with people behind it to welcome you. No sliding windows to keep you out, just staff ready to greet you. The waiting area is pleasant. Doctor's visits all look the same for the next couple of minutes: height, wait, blood pressure, etc. Dr Whapshare is exceedingly pleasant. Perhaps it's because he is British, but overall he is a nice man. This is key. I have not had a GP in probably 15 years. I'm a self-help medicine sort of person. Putting me at ease is no easy task, even though I've met Dr on several occasions. He has managed to do that, however. Thoughts of my upcoming annual visit do not fill me with dread or anxiety. I like to think of myself as healthy and knowledgeable about my body and what's working well and what's not. Dr. Whapshare is a good listener. He asks lots of questions, which lead to conversations that might not have been on my list of items to discuss. As a physician, he clearly believes in collaborative care, which entails listening to the patient. He is open to patient suggestions and open to making them. He trusts his patients and talks to you as an intelligent, responsible, adult. On the occasions that I have had to call the office, an actual, pleasant human being picks up right away and directs my call or answers my question or makes my appointment. Much can be done through their online portal, which is convenient and easy. Two thumbs up. 10 stars! Dr. Whapshare is a top-notch physician. He knows how to provide excellent medical care while making patients feel human, respected, and comfortable."

"The practice fully supports a substandard nursing assistant that didn’t seem to grasp the “care” in patient care, who blurted out (as fact) a bizarre and obviously mistaken presumption, pushed an irrelevant issue beyond reason, and generally lacked necessary interpersonal skills. She also didn’t have much to say for the NP with whom she works. I was offered the option of seeing other providers within the office for my future visits. As the nursing assistant explained, “sometimes they see Jessica once, and never want to see her again.“ That was strange. And pretty ironic, considering “all eight of us work closely together.” I was embarrassed for her and tried to ignore it. But it’s perfect for who it’s for, and I’m sure you’ll be very happy there."
