"Great facility and staff. A wide variety of strength, endurance and cardio equipment."

"Hours are inconvenient, and the dress code is absolutely ridiculous. I've been to many military bases at this point, and I've never has such a hard time with the clothes I wore to the gym. I was told not to wear this shirt (pictured; exact outfit I was wearing) again because it's too revealing. Ironically tank tops were fine on other people. I will say the staff member who said it was very polite. Though the rule is absurd."

"If you’re here on orders. Just come here, because Radford is the worst gym in the navy."

"E4 and below after 1500. That being said clean place and lots of equipment. Got a whole room for barbells and it's cushioned for Olympic lifts with bumper plates."

"A lot more equipment and machines than Radford. However unlike Radford, Portside is always crowded with A-Schoolers and imposes a 1hr workout limit when its capacity is maxed. Otherwise a great gym."
