The Academy of Pensacola, Inc. COMBAT SPORTS is a premier martial arts and combat sports institution located at 2600 West 9 Mile Road in Pensacola, Florida, United States. We offer a wide range of classes for students of all ages, specializing in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, NoGi, and Judo. Our gym is open to students from kindergarten to retirement age, with the first class offered free of charge. Our facility is clean, well-lit, and air-conditioned, with a 2,500-square-foot training area equipped with 2-inch Fuji mats. We offer classes throughout the day to accommodate busy schedules, including seminars with renowned competitors in Jiu-Jitsu and MMA. Our gym has six professionally trained Jiu-Jitsu instructors, with separate classes for kids and adults.
Jiu-Jitsu classes focus on ground combat and non-violent submission techniques, providing a full-body workout that combines cardio and strength training. NoGi classes offer a more casual setting for students interested in traditional Jiu-Jitsu without the use of traditional garb. Judo classes emphasize optimizing opponents' strength and improving aerobic fitness, while also developing mental concentration and resilience.
Adult martial arts classes are available for students above 18 years old, with specific lessons tailored for kids ages 3-17. Our Little Shark program introduces young children to martial arts in a fun and engaging way. The Dream Art Project, founded by world champion Isaque Bahiense, offers exciting competition opportunities for advanced students.
