"Mixed Experience at Mustian Center - Room for Improvement I was admitted to the Mustian Center in early January and had a mixed experience. Unfortunately, the 5th-floor staff was unprofessional and lacked concern. I faced difficulties getting assistance, even for basic needs like using the restroom, and felt neglected despite pressing the help button. It took my partner's return after 2 1/2 hours for me to get the necessary help. Additionally, my concerns about having rolling veins were not taken seriously, leading to multiple unnecessary needle sticks and bruising. I even requested an ultrasound or an IV tech, but my pleas were not acknowledged. During a renal ultrasound performed by Ashley, she smacked gum loudly and applied excessive pressure, making the experience uncomfortable. On a positive note, some staff members, such as the charge nurse Ashley, Dr. Mapp, Noelle, and the older lady in the kitchen, displayed empathic and caring personalities. The room was comfortable and provided necessary privacy. However, I believe there is room for improvement in staff training to ensure better patient care during challenging times."

"Today I had my pre-op for my upcoming procedure at the Mustain Surgery Center. Ruby did my consultation and I was so incredibly impressed by her I had to write a review. She was sooo informative and personal I felt like I had known her for years. She was very interested in my cancer journey and made me feel so important. I hope everyone can experience her professionalism"

"While the surgery center runs like a fine oiled machine, all the tech in the world won't make them focus on a patient-centric experience. Everything is tailored to their treatment team's convenience, and patients are just tasks within a machine. I can't blame any one of their truly professional staff. It's just the nature of modern medical care. Perhaps this is as good as it gets. Don't expect your call to be returned unless it's for a billable service."

"My family member had to come here for surgery and the entire process was smooth. The nurses were attentive to both of us while we were there. They were mainly walking them through what was to be expected in the surgery but they also reassured me that everything was going to be okay. During the time I was away from them, I received three phone calls. One by a nurse at the half-way point of the surgery to let me know they were doing fine, the second by the surgeon when the surgery was over, and the third by a nurse telling me they were in post-op and that I could come see them. The staff was very helpful in guiding me to where they were and helping me get them to the vehicle. I literally have no complaints about this place."
