"I saw Dr. Gaitan for the first 3 months of my pregnancy and never once did she give me her full undivided attention. She was always taking calls mid conversation. During our first visit she assured me that I was okay if I didn’t want to have the baby despite my husband and I being outwardly thrilled about our baby. While I am pro choice, I can’t help but feel she was showing prejudice because of my age. When I called their office due to heavy bleeding, there was NO nurse forwarding line during lunch. They are apparently aware of this issue but did not share a timeline to resolve it. Shortly after, Dr.Gaitan claimed that I was high risk. After being transferred to Jackson Maternal Fetal Medicine, they concluded I was in fact NOT high risk and wasn’t actually seeing a specialist like I thought. Now I am 25 weeks along and stuck at Jackson Ambulatory Care because doctors are unwilling to look past my (inaccurate) high risk diagnosis and/or think that I am too far along to take on as a new patient. I know Jackson is a good hospital. I just wish I had a choice in the matter. I am grateful that the Jackson residents always give me their full attention and compassion. This was my first child and Dr. Gaitan’s actions and incorrect diagnosis affected my spirits and quality of care. Thankfully my son is okay. Just wish we were receiving the quality care of our choosing."

He pays attention when patients speak and offers solutions. The office staff is very friendly and his nurse was very kind and empathetic. The office is clean and inviting. The building his office is in is also clean. Give yourself time to go into the garage and into the office."
