"And I would give CERO if possible. For the last year getting a timely authorization for a referral has been a nightmare. For a doctor, a diagnostic, a procedure or prescriptions, no matter if one calls and waits for hours for someone to answer or send the request online, the story is always the same. The patient is called the day before to alert them that the authorization for the visit, procedure or medication has not been received. We have been forced to re-schedule doctor's appointments and diagnostics because of the inefficient and flawed authorization process for referrals. People working remotely could not care less to answer the phone. The e-mail sends an automated response saying that the authorization will be sent 5 days before the appointment but it does not happen. As patient, one should not be subject to the stress of expediring the administrative process. Baptist Health had a reputation of efficiency that at present is no where present."
