"I am not upset with the girl who did my hair but I am very disappointed in Aveda for allowing her to do my hair. I came into the salon the get my hair dyed black but the instructor really advised me to not get it. I really wanted to dye my hair black so I should’ve left then. Anyways, I decided to get my highlights touched up. The girl had absolutely no idea what she was doing. She had to ask the teacher everything. Had the teacher come over for each step. All oh her combs were broken. A lot of times she would forget a step and would tell me that she forgot… I had to remind her several times what her teacher told her to do. The teacher had to show her how to part my hair…. after she finished the foils we start walking to the sink and she says word for word “You know, I’ve only done this on a mannequin. You’re my first real person” Ain’t no way… ain’t no way she just told me that. Why was she doing my hair?? When the teacher came to see my the result she said that she did a good job bringing the color to my roots when that was a complete lie. I came out with roots that needed a 3-4cm touchup! I couldn’t sit another minute in the chair because it’s already been OVER 6 HOURS so I walked out with damp hair and didn’t say a word because I know I would have cried. I am too nice to say anything. And that’s on me. But this is unprofessional, unacceptable, and gives a bad rep for the school. I will never be going back. I really liked giving the students a chance to practice but not after this experience."

"Had a fantastic experience at Aveda Institute Orlando! I got my hair trimmed and 1/2 head foil color. I asked for bright purple and blue and my stylist and her friends absolutely delivered. I was assigned to Britney, and she did an amazing job from start to finish. What's more is the other students in her row (Josi, Rosie, and Destiny) all chipped in to help ensure I got the vibrant colors I wanted. Even though it was a long job (nearly 6 hours) and none of them got to have lunch during this time, all of them took that in stride. They were incredibly enthusiastic about the entire process, very professional whenever I would ask for tweaks and showed great care for my comfort and my look. I loved their energy and would definitely come back."
