KIWANO fresh love

"I have been wanting to try this spot for ages. It has all that you would need for a healthy meal. Perfect for a grab and go or dine in. The ingredients were so fresh. The smoothie was spot on ! I got the matcha smoothie and the Eden salad. I highly highly recommend this spot. As a Nutritionist I am definitely coming back here. Everything was so yum !"

"My salad was made using spoiled kale mixed in with fresh kale to cover it up, and also used old cucumber that’s are almost completely translucent from sitting in water. It poses a major food safety concern when you mixed spoiled ingredients with fresh ones, it contaminates the whole salad. This is really unfair to the customer who spends their money at your establishment. It’s not the customers fault that lack of management causes food to spoil. Spoiled foods should be discarded by law and not mixed in with fresh foods to cover expenses loses. Really disappointed because the salad LOOKed so good but clearly not safe to eat."

"Came across this gem while waiting for school pickup near CCHS. Kiwano - such an unusual name but it is a fruit known as the horned melon. What a refreshing cafe...husband and wife team with their very first endeavor in the food industry. Swing, hit...HOME RUN!!! Their main purpose is healthy but with a good grasp of flavor and taste! The majority of items on the menu are hand and mind created by this duo. We tried a create your own salad (romaine, ground beef, red cabbage, carrots, cukes, corn, olives, feta with tahini ginger dressing) - very large salad enough for 2 meals), Birthday Cake smoothie and a Pitaya smoothie bowl ($40). Kids thoroughly enjoyed their smoothies (note - flower is beautiful touch to an eye catching pink dragon fruit smoothie bowl, but it is non-edible). Only suggestion was more fruit and granola for the amount smoothie in the bowl. I loved my salad - the home crafted dressing was definitely the star! Friendly staff and very knowledgeable about menu and ingredients. So ask if unsure what it is in their dressings - they will know! Thanks for a great first meal! We will definitely be going back to try their Jolene (as long as it comes with the song) and Miss Mac Salads."

"Kiwano has the best salads and smoothies I’ve ever tasted! From the homemade dressings to the super fresh ingredients, the salads and smoothies we tried were absolutely delicious. The cashier told me that every salad is specifically made to balance out the ingredients and wow the ingredients in each salad are perfect and absolutely complement each other! I will definitely be returning!"
