Cucayo Cocina Colombiana

"I am someone who likes to ask questions and get information before I go to a new place; I make the effort to call ahead so I am prepared. I called this restaurant the day before President's Day to ensure what time they would be open, they said 11am. I arrived at 11:15am (fully expecting that they'd need a little time to set up) and was told they would actually open at 12 noon. Right then and there, I was a bit annoyed, but decided to be understanding and wait nearby. When my companion and I went back at 12noon, they were open, but the main thing we went for, they didn't have it. And honestly, they didn't have much of anything else. The lady there explained everything, and I'm not blaming her, but I feel misinformed and disappointed by this restaurant. To the owner/manager, please take this feedback in good faith and make the necessary improvements. The goal is not just to complain, or scold, the goal is to inform you so you have the opportunity to fix things."

"Invited my parents for their anniversary on Valentine’s day, and all i can say is the service was not the best. Not only did the waitress barely come to us, but my mother had to get up and remind her of something just for the waitress to continue his conversation. Social media definitely hyped this place up for it not to meet its standards. On top of that another family was also complaining about the food and service. The food did not feel fresh and didn’t enjoy it at all. Would not be returning"

"I had high hopes for Cucayo since there are very few Colombian-Costeño food spots in Miami, but regrettably, it didn't live up to expectations at all. The service was okay, and the restaurant's interior had a cool vibe. However, the food was a major letdown - it lacked excitement, flavor, and came with a hefty price tag for what it is. I tried the empanadas (4/10), cóctel de camarón (7/10), and the dish I anticipated the most, carne en posta - but it just didn't deliver on flavor (4/10- carne was bland af, arroz con coco was average). Considering the cost, I can't recommend it, and I won't be returning, which is disappointing."

"This place should improve its customer service and maintain two menus, one for everything they want to sell and another for what they have available. Of the seven things I ordered, only one was available. I drove 40 minutes to find a place with nothing on the menu. What a pity! I will wait a few more years to see if their attention and food improve. Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience at this place."
