Lester's Diner

"5 stars really isn't enough. It's been 14 years since I left Northern New Jersey where they have the old school diners. Been in south Florida 3 years almost and it's taken me this long to find this place. All I can really say is, the food is out of this world. It looks like the old school jersey diners inside, the manager at the front was amazing and helpful. The older ladies working were friendly and said good morning. Just a great experience. I'll definitely be back frequently now. Just a shame it's taken this long to find a place with decent people. As full of idiots and scumbags South Florida is, this place is truly a stand out place!"

"Pretty awesome retro Diner to visit. Went on a Thursday morning before Christmas and it's like a trip to the past. Really loved all the decor and layout of the place. Definitely gave off those old-school Diner vibes. The service was quick and super friendly. The food also came out pretty quickly, but in my opinion some things were slightly under seasoned. But also I'm always a strong believer in under seasoning and allowing the customer to season it at the table with the salt and pepper provided. Everything we had was great in the end. Will most likely stop in again next time we're in the area."

"This is one original and typical American diner, really close to Sawgrass area, perfect surrounding and location. The building was in excellent shape and maintenance, there was a ramp for wheelchairs in the main door at the front. Waitress was super kind and patient, we had had a long day and were confused on wether to have a coffee and tea or dinner. Finally, we had both: delicious short stalk French toasts and a cheese burger with fries. Meat was as ordered, temperature, lights, Christmas tree, everything! I would definitely come back next month and in every visit to north Miami. We looked for a place like Lester’s Diner for three weeks, finally and unexpectedly, we did. Many thanks, great job!!!!"

"Don't let the renovations fool you!!! From the moment I walked in, we had to wait, which is not necessarily a bad thing. But several people were waiting when several tables were empty and clean. Finally after a few minutes, someone came around asking for our party size and name. When I finally sat down, my assigned waitress Ana, did not come by to offer water or take our order. Miranda, noticed that no one offered water or took our order so she was kind enough to apologize and get the ball rolling for us. Once we received our food from our waitress Ana, she never came back to replenish water, give us napkins or to make sure everything was ok. The french toast and waffle we ordered was super dry and lacked flavor. Plus the french toast was overcooked. This should be considered one of the easiest meals to master in a diner. Once I paid, I decided to tip Miranda since she was kind enough to help us. I will not be returning due to this matter and the fact that the food is not satisfying at all. I tried to give Lester's a few tries, hoping that the food would improve but it has not!!!"

"This is a hidden gem. Food is tatsy, portions are big, diner is clean, service is on point. Had dinner and breakfast there and would totally recommend. The salad with the spinach was amazing, my aunt added shrimp and it was cooked perfectly and she got about 7 shrimp. I had the chicken tenders with fries and cole slaw, it was sooo yummy, not oily at all."
