"I want to share my honest feedback on our recent experience at Loch Bar tonight. We chose to dine there because we were attending a show at the Mizner amphitheater and didn't want to move our vehicles from the shopping center. We had made reservations at both Kapow and Loch Bar, but now I regret not going to Kapow instead. Although Loch Bar used to be a solid seafood restaurant and raw bar when we last visited four years ago, it seems to be resting on its laurels now and is still quite expensive compared to other seafood restaurants in the area. We ordered a few appetizers, including the Oysters Rockefeller. I remember enjoying it four years ago, so I ordered it again. However, the oysters were very skimpy and lacked the spinach that they were supposed to have. We sent them back, and they returned with a little bit more spinach, but the ones from four years ago looked better. I have a photo for comparison. The server claimed they were Apalachicola oysters from Florida. I also ordered a poke tuna appetizer, but the texture was unpleasing due to the way it was cut into large chunks. We ordered the crab deviled toast, but it was not as impressive as we had hoped. It was more of a crab salad on top of toast points. The only dish that we all enjoyed was the special scallops with bacon jam. I could have easily eaten two or three plates of those if I had known the other dishes would be disappointing. Rachel liked her grouper sandwich, and James seemed to enjoy his fish. However, the fries that came with both dishes were not crispy and appeared to be reheated. We sent them back and got better fries. Given the restaurant's status in Mizner, which is Boca's premier shopping and dining plaza, I expected more from Loch Bar. We visited on a Sunday night at 8 PM, and the restaurant was about 90% empty. More attention could have been paid during slower hours. It's worth noting that all of our complaints are regarding the food from the back of the house, not the waitstaff. Despite the manager's honest attempt to apologize (the oyster app and two drinks were comped), I was still disappointed with the overall experience."

"Free parking in the garage for up to 3hrs. Great service with friendly staff. Food came out fast, fresh and hot. Sizable portions, enough to take some home. Drinks are good for light weight drinkers. Would recommend"

"Seafood-focused menu with a good amount of variety. Went for brunch and had the potato skins with caviar, lobster roll, and my husband had the crab madame. Everything was excellent! The potato skins were a fun dish that included a creamy sauce to offset the saltiness. The brine of the caviar was great with the potato. My lobster roll was good, I wish the spring mix I’d opted for on the side had some tomato or something, but I guess I should’ve asked. The dish was still very good and I’d absolutely order it again, maybe with a different side though. There was a good amount of lobster and even the bread was delicious. Tried a bite of my husband’s crab madame and it was beautifully rich. The crispy potatoes on the side were excellent as well. Got their black Manhattan and a slush. The Manhattan was smooth and balanced. Slush was super refreshing! This spot is upscale but still casual enough for wearing a tshirt during brunch. Looking forward to going back for dinner and trying their fried chicken that I’ve heard so many good things about."

"Loch Bar in Boca Raton is a true gem for seafood lovers, standing out with its high-quality, fresh offerings. A highlight of their menu is undoubtedly the crab cakes – easily the best in South Florida. These cakes are pure crab, devoid of unnecessary fillers, and seasoned to perfection. The oyster selection is impressive, both in variety and taste. Each oyster is a testament to Loch Bar's commitment to freshness. The cocktail sauce served alongside is a pleasant surprise, featuring a unique twist that hints at BBQ sauce, adding a delightful complexity to the dish. For those who enjoy poke, the tuna poke dish is a must-try. It’s excellently prepared, balancing flavors and textures skillfully. And for a pleasant surprise, don't miss the fried chicken. It’s a dish that Loch Bar has perfected, with its extremely juicy meat and flawlessly crispy skin. Paired with their delicious fries, it’s an unexpected but highly recommended choice. Beyond seafood, Loch Bar boasts an impressive collection of over 120 different whiskies and a vast selection of other spirits, catering to all tastes. The service here is as commendable as the food – attentive, efficient, and friendly, enhancing the overall dining experience. In summary, Loch Bar in Boca Raton is a standout establishment that I wholeheartedly recommend. Whether you’re a seafood aficionado or just looking for a delightful meal, this place will not disappoint. I'm already planning my next visit!"

"Blown away. Best meal I have had in several years. Every bite was amazing....no lie. We were at Mizner for a show, and everything was pretty much packed. We were lucky enough to get a table and Loch Bar and man what an experience! From the drinks to the food, this place was perfection. Seriously. We ordered some drinks, a pear martini that was really refreshing, and a tequila old fashioned that was smoky, spicy, and opened the eyes of this bourbon loyalist to new cocktail possibilities. What ended up on the table for the four of us to share was the Tuna Poke (the dressing, oh my god..), an order of the hushpuppies (crispy and served with delicious remoulade), oysters Rockefeller (a classic), a perfect shrimp cocktail (u10 shrimp were amazing), a couple cups of the Maryland Crab soup (silky broth and big flavor), a lobster roll (buttery perfection, lobster wasn't overdressed!!), and a Crab Grilled Cheese. So I saved the Crab Grilled Cheese for last because it can only be described as ridiculous. It was so indulgent with several kinds of cheese, bacon, crabmeat, and grilled tomatoes on the most amazing toasted bread. Arguably one of the best sandwiches I have ever had, anywhere. Run to this place to have one, and make the time of you don't have it. It's that freaking good. Service by Hailey was kind and attentive. She was very friendly and helpful as we had to get to a show, the meal was paced perfectly. Can't wait to go back!! HOLY COW I FORGOT THE DEVILED EGGS!! Truffle and bacon deviled eggs. Let that resonate. Literally buying the stuff to make them today so I can have them again."
