The Butcher and The Bar

"Went for dinner across the street at Hurricane Alley but the wait was 1 1/2 hours, no way. Fortunately we found The Butcher and The Bar literally across the street. A retail butcher shop , bar, and small restaurant with both inside and patio dining. It was featured on Diners, Drive ins and Dives with Guy Fieri. Really a 4 1/2 * restaurant. They have a daily menu. Small but very nice menu and also a small wine list but large selection of craft beers and cocktails. Colleen B was our server and a real delight, efficient, attentive. and very professional. Started with a Spinach apple salad, spinach, apples, candied walnuts, house made bacon, Manchego cheese, dried cranberries, a champagne vinaigrette, Great. For mains, I opted for the Porchetta sandwich, lemon seasoned pork belly and loin, fennel, garlic, gremolata, fennel & radish salad, and lemon vinaigrette served on ciabatta bread, Superb. My wife tried the Butcher burger, house ground local beef smashed burger with lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, pickles, cheddar cheese, and a special house sauce on a brioche bun. She said it was one of the best burgers she has had, Both came very good potato wedges. These two entrees are signature dishes and always on the daily menu. For something different and a real treat, you must try The Butcher and The Bar."

"Been trying to get here for a while, happy we finally made it. Everything was amazing from the staff to the food. Also they have a great craft and local beer selection. My wife and myself stopped for lunch, I had the bratwurst my wife had the chicken meatballs everything was delicious. Can't wait to go back!"

"Wow!! Everything is homemade down to the ketchup and mustard...the hotdog has got to be the best dog I've ever had! Definitely not your average dog is quite the understatement! Our waitress Colleen was the best of the trip!"

"Heard about their burger from other posts- I ordered the burger, was not asked how I want it, I asked and was told it arrives only in medium. Burger arrived well done and was tasteless. Potatoes were dry and probably reheated multiple times. Only thier ketchup was good. My wife had a prime rib, asked for medium and arrived well done, very dry and tasteless. We returned the stake but the 2nd one was tasteless. That's usually not happening since I love meat. Drinks were good. Service was excellent. First dish mushrooms on bread was great, felt the juices of the wine soaked in the bread."

"It's such a great local restaurant. Mushroom toast was spectacular, the mushrooms were local (Delray), and they were the star. Pickles and pimento made my southern soul proud and happy. Rigatoni with a chicken meatball was hearty and filling. I had a strawberry gin mule and it was very special. My husband had an old fashioned and a whiskey barrel beer, and both will be reordered next time. Colleen, our server, was very informative and made a great night for us. We will be back soon to try the brunch and prime rib Sundays."
