"I had the pleasure of meeting the kindest, well-mannered housekeeping lady named Clara. She was a gem! Unfortunately I had to be in the hospital visiting a friend this past weekend. She treated us with empathy. Fortunately she was cleaning the second floor and we crossed paths. I cannot say enough about the comfort she provided me and my loved ones with. Thank you Clara! Forever grateful!!!"

"They abused my grandma. Beat her and stole her sim card out of her phone! They tried to keep her quiet and im sick of hospital malpractice….burn this place to the ground! All this happened during covid and we changed hospitals last minute and it saved her life. Do not go here if you love your family."

"Do yourself a favor if you can. Don’t go to this hospital or take your loved ones here. Some of the staff are decent and kind but there are a few that have no compassion or decency when dealing with family of someone who is sick. My father in law was fading quickly and the doctors advised us to come and say our good byes. My daughter, who is 2, loved her grandfather very much and has been asking about him since he went to the hospital. Apparently it’s a policy of the hospital not to allow children to visit dying loved ones. I tried to appeal to the front desk receptionist to allow this exception due to the circumstances and I was met with the arrogance of a woman who was power hungry and told me that no exceptions are made. I spoke to a supervisor who understood the urgency of the situation and allowed me and my daughter to visit this last time. Later that day after he passed we were met with a nurse, who wasn’t my father in laws nurse, who loudly and boisterously, without making herself aware of the circumstances we were in before coming over to remind us of the policy of children visiting. Her comments included how this was no place for children and how we shouldn’t bring our kids here as if this was a choice destination for our Friday night. She embarrassed us in front of all of our mourning family. I had to inform her that my father in law just died about 30 minutes earlier. But she was unfazed. This is not how you treat people. Avoid this place at all cost."

"The worst nurse i have ever met in my entire life is located in this hospital working in CARDIAC floor, her name is MAXINE, this woman has no idea how to treat patients neither patient’s family, she comes to the room with a bad attitude, you can’t ask her anything because she gets upset, she doesn’t explain anything, she needs to learn manners. I don't know how a hospital can have people like this nurse working and even worst in cardiac floor where all the patients has to be calm, this woman can give you a heart attack if you are not very patient with the way she talks to you I hope not seeing her again, this is a hospital not the hood, patients go there because of a disease not because they want to and the less you as is to be treated with respect and in a good way, This Maxine doesn’t deserve to be working in a hospital"

"I fear for those whose lives have been placed in the hands of the employees at Palmetto General Hospital now Steward Health. Many years of a really bad reputation, all of which I dismissed for rumors, were all in fact -FACTS! Beware and steer clear of Palmetto General Hospital now owned by Steward Health. AHCA, OSHA, Children and Family all need to be made aware of what is happening in this establishments. The so called "traveling nurses" are a menace to the medical industry and especially to patients that come to the hospital for life threatening emergencies. A nurse from Texas by the name of Tangela was extremely negligent and reckless, her superiors were worse. ER Dr. Carasco should be evaluated for drug usage or mental disability. ER staff were greatly entertained by their happy hour conversations and talks about hookah! While my family member was yelling and gasping for air because they disconnected her oxygen in the middle of a heart attack!!!!! An elderly lady was left naked from her waist up (breast exposed) with no blanket or gown to cover her. She cries for help and everyone ignored her, except for me who covered her and prayed with her. Another elderly man was left unattended with bed railings down, he cries for help as he was slipping off the side of bed! Again no one helped until I asked for help on his behalf. Sadly I couldn’t make this up even if I tried. Hygiene- non existent! Iv bags on floor, needles on tables, medicine cabinets in hallway left opened, garbage on floors. A complete disaster. A patient that was experiencing a heart attack was being ignored and waited 11+ hours for a room when 1/2 of the 5th floor was empty. TAKE AN EXTRA FEW MINUTE DRIVE AND GO TO MEMORIAL HOSPITAL"
