The Pensacola State College Swimming Pool is a premier facility located at 1000 College Boulevard in Pensacola, Florida. This institution offers a variety of programs and classes for individuals of all ages and abilities. From water exercise classes to swim lessons and master swim classes, there is something for everyone to enjoy. The pool is six lanes wide and twenty-five yards long, heated to a comfortable temperature for swimming. Lifeguard certification classes are also available during certain semesters. The Greater Pensacola Aquatic Club (GPAC) offers competitive swimming and swim lessons for children ages three to high school. The pool is open for recreation swim time, allowing community members to enjoy the pool without instruction. Senior Club Members aged 60 and older receive discounted rates for recreation swim time. "It would be great if people showered before entering the pool! Despite the limited recreational swimming hours, I am so glad this place exists and is available to students like myself. However, this facility is in a poor state. It is a little run down, dated, and often dirty! The pool water is sometimes far too warm, which is probably why some people just get in to bathe and are chatting instead of swimming. The water pressure for the showers is very weak and there is no warm water to shower. The changing rooms are often left unclean which adds to an unfortunately uncomfortable environment."
