"Amazing people make for amazing care. Children leave independent, socially and academically prepared for school; and most importantly, they are instilled with a desire to love and be loved by Jesus. Can’t ask for much more than that."

"CKA has been an awesome school for our boys. The teachers are amazing, and I think that starts with the director Mrs. Margaret. We are truly blessed to have found this wonderful school. - The Klein Family"

"Before I put my daughter in the infant-toddler class at Coastal, I did a ton of research and I truly thought she was going to be in the best place with the best care. When I first brought her into her class, I noticed there were some safety issues: When I arrived at the building, the door was cracked open, and there was no one at the front desk, and when I entered into the room there were outlet covers missing from the wall, and there were thumb tacks used on the presentation board. In fact, a child (appx 1) walked up to me with a thumb tack in his hand. The restrooms/change rooms are off to the side of the actual class room, and make it impossible for the teacher to watch the kids while they are providing diaper changes. I addressed these issues with management, and saw some improvement ( outlet covers provided, thumb tacks still in the board, no help/assistance with diaper changes). The next incidence was when I picked my daughter up from school ( after 9 hours) and she looked completely out of it and was extremely fussy ( which is totally out of character for her). When I got her home, I saw that her lunch hadn't even been opened ( they do not provide lunches), and only a couple of snacks were provided to her. During her entire time at this daycare she had a mild diaper rash, but on her last week ( prior to pulling her out of class) I picked her up early, and the front door was propped open.. again... when I walked into a classroom of 5/6 unattended/unsupervised toddlers. There was an aid in the bathroom doing changes, and did not even know that I was in the room. There were toddlers all over the room without supervision. I picked up my daughter, and she was absolutely SATURATED ( clothes and all) in her poop and pee, and she had yogurt crusted all over her face. She had diaper rash so bad there was a deep blister that took about a week and a half to fully heal. I was also told that the main teacher left because she was "overwhelmed", and when i asked the aid when she had changed her diaper ( I picked her up at appx 3:30/4), she told me prior to their nap ( appx 11-12pm).When I approached management about each issues, she was quick to blame the teachers. I asked if she was able to provide assistance to the teachers if they were overwhelmed and needed a hand ( for lunches/changes), and her response was " they should be more than able to take care of their classrooms". After the last incidence, I decided to take my child out of the daycare, and they attempted to charge me an additional 2 weeks because I did not give them notice. I had to notify the pastor and the business office to explain what happened. The business office was not any help, but the pastors assistant was incredibly understanding and promised to do an investigation into what was going on there. I do no think that my experience is a common one at this facility, but from what I saw in the short time we were there, I would NEVER recommend this facility for children who are unable to advocate for themselves. My daughter is not in another school/daycare, and the difference in care is amazing. Please use caution with any church/private school. They are NOT state regulated. The last instance we endured was due to the fact that 3 teachers called out, and one teacher was in charge of way too many kids. The management team did not have appropriate protocol in place for a situation like that, and my kid ( and others) paid the price. I feel like this facility is an accident/incident waiting to happen with children who are too little to talk or listen to/follow directions."
