Friendly Confines Winter Park

"I have tried to make this my go to lunch spot. I have stopped coming here except on the odd chance that they might have improved the food. The bartenders are always awesome and I tip them very well. I believe the kitchen staff could 8care less about their food. I try my best to order extra crispy wings but 8 out of 9 times they come out soft and a bit rubbery. I even make sure to tell the bartender 4 different times while ordering to make sure they are extra crispy. The 1 time I ordered nachos they were cold and tasteless. It would be great if the bartender would make sure the order is correct but ultimately the mediocre, at best, food should be the responsible of the kitchen. The manager cruises around the bar but has never once asked me how was everything. I will continue to go elsewhere for lunch and beers with the occasional stop-in with the hopes that the kitchen actually cares about their food. I tried again -- everything was soft and half soggy. The best bartender did everything she could to get me crispy wings but the kitchen inly makes soft food. The fries were squishy. I am sooo done with this place !!!!"

"We went to an Old friendly Restaurant the other day! Friendly Confines of Winter Park, Fl Our waitress Taylor S. was amazing! She was not in a rush to push us through our Early dinner. She asked for drink order and if we want an appetizer. She place our app order and when it came out took are food order and asked if we would like a fresh drink. Again we could have not picked a better place that day to just sit and talk while in the area. Beef sandwiches, fried pickles,potato skins. Sorry eat the others before pics. Next time. "This will sound crazy but Friendly Confines was really good today! Not crowded at all. Peyton seemed like the only server and she did a very good job! The food all hit the spot. We all said it was better than expected. Mozzarella sticks were filled with cheese, melted perfectly and tasty sauce on the side. They got all in agreement "good". Picture does not do it justice. The meatloaf had black pepper and onions and was moist. Only complaint -needed one more piece. Taste was very good (better than Ale House). The loaded mashed tasted like twice baked and were very good! The Mac& Cheese was good, too! The claws on both plates were tender and plentiful. Fries were hot and seasoned perfectly. They no longer carry waffle fries and no complaints here. Very good overall. They no longer have the sweet potato salad. This salad was filled with redskin pieces in a mayo base. It got good reviews. The side salad was fresh, large and tasty. I wish the blue cheese had more chunks but overall good. So, who knew Friendly Confines would hit the spot for Mother's Day. Now, off to my pedicure! "This popular sportbar has everything you need to enjoy a day of sports at very affordable prices. Plenty of televisions and a big screen. Fridays all Quesidillas are only $10 and they are very good. I also had a classic beef dip which was also very good with tasty sweet fries. Live music on the weekends. Great service, friendly bar.
