Pepe's Cantina Winter Park

"Overall a decent experience! The food was flavorful, small portions but the Al Pastor XXL Burrito was sooooo so good. The service was a little under average. From where we seated (by the kitchen) it was decent service but we only saw our server like twice, and she forgot a few things but was very friendly. Margaritas were soooo delicious and strong. Salsa was so good and the habanero salsa was perfect. The only downside is the portion size, a side of rice was around 3 oz is what it seemed like, and it was $4. Entrees also normally come with a bigger side to it, especially since most of the plates were $18+, but I’d suggest just adding a little more rice/beans, even if it is just a couple more oz to the portions. I’ll be back though !"

"Pepe’s Cantina in Winter Park has been our go-to spot for authentic Mexican cuisine for the past couple years, and it never disappoints. Just recently, we indulged in their Fried Fish Mahi Tacos, which were nothing short of spectacular. The mahi was fried to a golden perfection, creating a delightful crunch that gave way to the succulent fish within. Topped with a vibrant slaw, these tacos are a true testament to the kitchen’s dedication to flavor. The Shredded Chicken Enchiladas, smothered in a zesty verde sauce, were equally impressive. The sauce’s subtle kick paired perfectly with the tender chicken, all balanced by the comforting sides of black beans and perfectly seasoned rice. What keeps us coming back to Pepe’s Cantina is not just the consistently delectable menu but also the warmth and vibrancy of the atmosphere. It’s a little slice of Mexico that we’ve cherished over the years, and we look forward to many more meals here."

"Overall, I give Pepe's Cantina a 5/5. We were a party of 4 and we sat outside by the bar and everything was delightful, from the food to the drinks to the atmosphere. We were started off with chips and salsa, which was more of your traditional restaurant-style dip that had a little bit of heat to it, but not too much. I am kinda picky when it comes to chips and salsa (I say that, but will also eat too many even if they're not the best lol), but I did really really enjoy these chips and salsa. We ordered the Queso Fundido for the table, which only came with 3 tortillas, but we made do with the extra chips that they brought to the table (at our request). The Queso was absolutely divine and had such good pull to it - like you see in all the commercials - when you can pull the cheese forever and ever. Definitely one of my favorite parts of the experience. We also ordered the Signature Tableside Guacamole, which was made right by the table, and it was very fresh and light (sadly, I was so distracted by the cheese that I forgot to take a picture of the guacamole). For an entrée, I ordered the Birria Tacos and the texture and taste were perfect. The Birria was tender, with a little bit of heat and an amazingly crafted blend of spices. They came with a dipping sauce, which was also very flavorful and not overpowering. I drank only water, but a couple of my friends ordered cocktails and they had only good things to say about them! Highly recommend!"
