Mamey Miami

"I used to love Mamey but they are going through a management/chef change and things are going bad. If you look at the reviews the bad ones are recent and I can see why. We went for lunch after making a reservation and specifically selecting the lunch option. Once we arrived we were told they only had brunch. First error. We ordered the burger, watermelon salad, steak and eggs and poke bowl. Server was confused about the menu and did not know what fish came with the poke bowl or what could be added. Second error. Overall the food was bland. The steak and eggs were missing salt. Third error. Once we got to dessert a different waiter came and told us there was no dessert even though we had seen a banana bread option and the first server told us they had key lime pie which wasn’t on the menu. We basically had to get the manager to sort things out and eventually got the banana bread and key lime pie. Fourth error. Google maps said it was closed during Sunday lunch even though it is open. Fifth error. In summary not going back and I would recommend you don’t either until they get their act together."

"MY INITIAL REVIEW 5 STARS: Went there expecting something good and found something great!!! The grouper dish was very tasty, service was good, and place was very nice and quiet. There is a paid parking next to the restaurant, just took the elevator and walked to the hotel, reataurant is inside of the hotel. MY REVISED REVIEW 1 STAR AFTER I REALIZED THAT THEY CHARGED ME A HIGHER AMOUNT THAN WHAT I PAID FOR. This is the first time this happens to me. It is unbelievable that I signed the paper with an amount and they charged my cc a higher amount. I saw a pending charge of 175, and when the transaction posted the amount was 191. Even though food was good, Im not going back to a place where you cant trust what they are doing with your credit card information. THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF WHAT THEY ARE DOING!! I will try to contact business and write another update."

"Had dinner here with a group of friends this past week and as always with the Al Pa Re No group of restaurants, food and service were both excellent. Franco was our server and took great care of us but it was an entire team that helped out and they were all friendly. The Lemongrass Glazed Grouper came recommended by Franco and without exaggeration, was one of the best dishes I’ve had eating out in Miami. Make sure to try it!!"

"Back again for our anniversary. Andre took great care of us. Awesome original chips and salsa. Excellent dinner. Surprise rum cake with ice cream for a lovely finish."
