"I have been here many times but today my sushi was Outstanding! It was today Sunday around 2 pm. I sat at the sushi bar , and just told the sushi chef what I liked and he it perfect ! Hope he gets to know about my post ! Thank you for such a great plate !!"

"There’s a lot of typing and deleting for this review which made me realize what my experience was truly like. This restaurant is located in a very central area with a lot of restaurants and shops near by. Umami has been around for a while and it is uncertain for me to say if it is amazing or if it is slowly crumbling down. Therefore, I’ll just stick to my experience. The food (sushi and fried rice) were pretty amazing the day we went. There were many options on the menu that looked and sounded good. Upon arriving, we were greeted and seated immediately (evening,during the week). The place has a pretty cool look to it but it’s evident that it could use up keeping. The food was delicious and we found the rolls to be a really big, good portion! Tired of little sushi platters that leave you hungry in other places! The fried rice was hot and fresh and very tasty. We really enjoyed the food but the look and feel of the place may not be one for a date night. For us, it may be a spot to come by with a group of family, friends or co workers. (Lots of seating) I would like to go one more time to solidify my standing on the experience but if this can help anyone anyhow, here it is."
