Baru Doral Resto-Bar

"This place has always been a "go to", we started during covid since they had an outdoor patio, and honestly, it's close to home. The food is really good, the drinks are Reasonably priced and the service is quick however, the music is not good. This is a Colombian spot, but they don't play Cumbia, not one! Before, they used to have good Spanish music, Cumbia, Old Salsa, and nice merengue even Spanish rock, but the last few times the DJ only plays modern (over-played) radio salsa and reggeaton. Sadly, it's lost the colombian flare. Again, if you are not looking to dance and only want food and drinks, this is a great place, but if you're looking for Rumba... this isn't the spot anymore."

"Terrible service. Only 3 tables, like 2 barely dressed female servers and 4 guys and our order took more than 1 hour and a half. The plates came one by one which is annoying to have people finishing their plates before the others on your table. Manager was called, he just nodded and didn’t do anything. Server never apologized or even let us know that they were having issues in the kitchen ( AT LEAST LIE) which would have made my table relax since we all were servers at different places and know how this work. Very sad. One star because music was really good."

"I was robbed at Baru Doral. The food was good the drinks great. I was robbed when we had a birthday celebration and we ordered 2 bottles of Flor De Cana Rum which cost about $25 at any liquor store. We were charged $240 per bottle. I understand if they would have charges even $100 per bottle due to it being a club. But damn $240 is highway robbery. When you order a bottle ask for the price first. If not they will stick it to you."

"Complete rip-off, will never go again. Was there before quarantine, I thought it was a good place to take my date. Got surprised at the door with a new $20 per head entrance fee, CASH Only. Unless you're an elderly couple who still uses dollar bills, you have to use the in-house ATM which charges $7. So you're already $50 in, and you have not even had one of their overpriced drinks yet. Honestly, if I wasn't with my date that night, I would have told them to flip off, and gone somewhere else. Baru is nothing special. A below average sports bar. The floors are sticky and have weird holes, so it's hard for girls to dance with heels. The music is a copy-paste selection of songs that could be compiled by a monkey with an MP3 player on shuffle. This place is an obvious scam. An average sports bar trying to pass itself off as a nightclub. They want to make sure they can rip you off for as much as possible the first time, because I sure as hell will never go to this place again or recommend. Wish I could give a negative score. Complete waste of time."

"I am sitting there as we speak. If you don't buy a bottle you cannot sit inside. Even if he place is empty. The beer is not served ice cold. The food is not worth the price. The place is way overpriced and I guess it is to compensate for it being mostly empty. There is not many people and yet the server is nowhere to be found. Will not be returning at all. The music is ok but the dj doesn't seem enthusiastic to be working. No charisma whatsoever. Will not return or recommend. Much better places with better food, music and service."
