California Pizza Kitchen

"I haven’t visited a California Pizza Kitchen in years (The most recent was back when I lived in New York) This location in Sawgrass Mills has made me a fan all over again. The original crust option was delicious, it complimented the Carne Asada pizza perfectly (which I tried for the very first time tonight) Lexi our server was warm and welcoming. She suggested what ended up becoming the perfect dessert, the butter cake with ice cream was the perfect size for sharing. It was the right amount of sweetness to end our meal. Looking forward to returning to this location and trying out the Hawaiian pizza!"

"This was my first time going to a California Pizza Kitchen in general. My family members have been there before and to this specific location. I wasn’t too impressed honestly. We went around 7:30/8pm on a Wednesday and it was relatively empty when we arrived, more people came in as we sat there. The avocado corn dip was alright, I think I would have preferred a guacamole, but I also didn’t look at the appetizer or small plate options or choose this plate. The only thing that came out in a timely manner were the drinks which were waters, sodas and an iced tea. It took a pretty long time from when we ordered to even receive our food. We ordered 3 pizzas, a soup, and a kids pasta. We waited quite some time, but once it started to take EXTRA long, our server came up to us and apologized for the wait and that one of the pizza tickets somehow got mixed up and was in the works while two of the pizzas were ready and if we would like them now or to wait. We asked to just bring out the food that was ready. I’m guessing since the pizzas were just sitting there, when we received them, they were basically just warm although closer on the colder end. I only ate two slices because I was hungry and needed to eat at least something. As as stated, I wasn’t too impressed by the taste and the pizza was cold so I couldn’t tell if that was the reason the taste was pretty bland. It even took forever to ask for the check and pay. I will try to give them the benefit of the doubt that maybe they were understaffed or maybe our server was new? My sister said the last time she was there their server was much better and when they asked for Parmesan cheese he came over with the grater. During this experience, she just put some cheese on a plate and handed it to us. I also had to stand up and ask someone else for garlic powder and a pepper shaker. I will probably give either this location or another CPK another try since this was my very first time at a CPK, but it most likely wont be any time soon."

"I love sitting at California Pizza Kitchen and holding a vibe with my daughter. Unfortunately, this is the second time I've been there and I've left unimpressed by the service. This last time, they were two employees short, so it wasnt their fault. I'll be back by only because my daughter loves it. She gets the individual- sized pizza."
