"I ordered the Vegetable Omelette. It had tiny specks of tomato & green pepper and was completely filled with Jalapeño peppers. the menu said 3 eggs but with all the peppers it looked like two eggs at most. I had to pick them all out to taste any of the eggs. I ordered a side fruit cup for $4. I received maybe ten to fifteen grapes in a small bowl. Finally I paid cash and my bill showed they increased my bill by 3% for a credit card not used. I was with good friends and I did not want to continually complain when one of them recommended the place. I will never eat there again!"

"Hitchin' Post is legit. Don't let the outside fool you - this restaurant has delicious food, fairly priced, expeditious service, and a very relaxed vibe. Food is always consistent, hot, and fresh. Waitresses always make you feel taken care of without being overbearing. I love this place."

"Very good food and service. Fresh clean restaurant. Definitely didn't leave hungry. Party of 2 coffee was very good. Country fried steak, home fries and 2 over easy eggs. Flavorful and very well made. Hitching post skillet, Hope you're hungry if you're ordering this. Not often your meal is still hot halfway through the meal. The skillet was very hot the entire time."

"Just heard of this place. They opened nearly 3 weeks ago. Not a fancy place at all. Don't let the lack of decor make you decide to drive by. Friendly staff to greet you. At least 5 people that were there helping to serve and take care of customers. Plenty of seating booths and tables. Looked to be very clean and organized. I opted for their "best" breakfast which was the Hitchin' Post Skillet. $10.00 a pop it better be. I came out on a sizzling cast iron skillet and had a mound of potatoes, bacon, sausage, 2 eggs (cooked to order), onions, peppers, and cheese. It was a beast! I ordered a cup of grits and a coffee. The skillet was awesome! Lots of flavor and despite its size I managed to put it away. The grits were the best part. Super creamy and hot. I had to complement the cook for it. Talking with the server she said everything on the menu (pies) were made in house. The key lime looked legit. I'm impressed enough that I'd come back. Breakfast was great and hours later I'm not starving for my next meal. The server claims they have a great grouper sandwich and filets. I'll have to make it a point to return. Definitely worth going a bit out of your way for this one. I forsee this being a place for weekend bikers due to the location."
