"I'm fairly new to Plant City. This place was an awesome selection. Their food is excellent, service is 5 star and an all around great environment. The churro french toast is off the meter. I'll be back!"

"From the outside the restaurant looks more upscale. When you walk through the front door, it is completely different inside. Tables and chairs and the atmosphere are all rundown and beat up and not very clean. Dusty like you would see in a gas station dine and dash. This was our first time here and it will be our last. We were seated in the back room and sat there forever, waiting for someone to come over for service. Three different waitresses walked past our table and nothing but crickets. I walked up to the front and managed to ask another waitress, “Who was waiting on our table?” and explained the situation that we had been seated and still had no service. There were several open tables in the restaurant, so they were slammed with guests. The people that came in after us had already ordered their food and had their drinks delivered. From then on, we had nothing but a bad attitude. “Why? Because we nicely inquired about service? The excuse we got from our server was that she was on the phone. Then why not have someone else serve us? Or even have someone take our order for our server. If server knew she was going to be on the phone for a lengthy amount of time, then she should have communicated with the hostess - not to seat anyone in her section. Pure and simple. My friend asked for a glass of juice when our food was dropped off – after that our so-called server never came back to our table to see how our food was or if we needed anything. Coffee refill – forget it - nonexistent. Had to flag her down to get a to-go box. When I asked for the check – she said nothing – rudely grabbed the check off our table, flipped it over and laid it on the jelly caddy, then gave me a look. Food was average for greasy truck stop food with overly salty breakfast meats. Biscuit was airy and moist, but again salty. My friend’s toast was burnt on one piece. Would have preferred that my grits didn’t already have melted butter lakes across the top of them, but at this point would it do me any good to say anything given the poor attitude of the server toward us. Coffee was descent. The restroom I used was surprisingly clean. Parking was ridiculous. We had to park on the street and walk down and across the street to the restaurant. We all know things happen, but all customers deserve good service. We still have no idea why we were treated this way – we were nothing but polite. Nonetheless, we will never be returning. Who wants to go somewhere where they are ostracized and banished to the doghouse."

"My friends and I were in the area for the weekend for a wedding. When asking some locals, the best place for breakfast and the resounding answer was this restaurant. We checked out the menu online, and all found several meals that looked intriguing and the prices reasonable. I had the veggie omelet with cheese. The portion was very large, I couldn't eat it all. My friend had the creme brulee waffles and said it was insanely good and not too sweet. The coffee was OK, the home fries were really good. The staff was so friendly and attentive. We loved our waitress Courtney she was busy, but we never felt rushed. I will definitely go back when I am in the area."

"This was a delightful stop for a morning breakfast. Nothing tells me to prepare for a home cook meal more than walking to a restaurant and them saying "sit where you would like," which was great because you had options like, tables, booths or even at the bar. This place is a very homey feeling with perfect staffing. About 35 customers at the time I sat down and what I could see at least 10 servers and 6 cooks and about 5 food runners. I ordered my yummy food and received my food about 4 min after ordering it. For me, food was perfect, nice crisp on the tops of the corn beef hash and hashbrowns with a nice soft bottom. Sweet tea wasn't too sweet, coffee was delightful, and the ambiance was just pleasant and enjoyable. I recommend Brick House (BH) Cafe if you find yourself in Plant City in the morning and you are hungry, give them a try because I'm willing to bet you won't be disappointed. Must try this place out!"

"Brick House Cafe is a diner-style restaurant located in Downtown Plant City. This place is quite popular, especially for breakfast and lunch. The decor is very modern, and is basic. The main dining room can be loud at times, but you’re lucky if you’re in the back. The service was very nice to us. Got our food out quickly and even got us free drinks to go! Checkout was quick. As I said before, the food is similar to what you’d get at a diner. I thought the food was very basic; and you can make almost the entire menu at home. I got the Italian Sub. It was good. The fries were basic, and the chicken tenders were alright. Overall, is slightly overrated."
