Kissimmee Elementary School

"We are so glad the school year is finally over! When I moved into the Kissimmee area I got very bad reviews from other people about this school, but since it was the one we were zoned for we decided to give it a try. My son has been involved in school like programs since he was 3 years old and had never complaint about school nor had made up excuses to go to school up until now. If you want a school where your child doesn't feel included or part of, this is the one for you. A school that doesn't reach out to you if there is something wrong in class up until report cards. A school were is easier for the teacher to send your kid to another classroom for a Valentines day classroom activity, a school were the teacher just assumes that the kid will not "behave" so she does not send the permission slip for next school activity. The saddest part was that I wasn't the only parent feeling upset with what was going on because I personally heard them complaining about the sames issues I was having. There was never any activity to acknowledge or recognize the students hard work, not once, not even at the end of the year."

"I went to this school and they gave me bad grades for no reason I hate the principal he assaulted me with the police and wanted to kick me out by trying to see were I used to live he is a maniac don't ever go to this school they will give you bad grades even if you are doing good in test and homework plus one day I got home and my mom told me they kicked me out when he forced me to say were I live and i was in 4 grade I mean who does that maybe someone like the principal saying he is a good father I say if he's a good father he should treat students like his freaking damn kids sheash that's why I hate this school take it from me never ever go to this school okay the principal is a maniac the police even came to try and scare me by saying that if I don't behave I will go to jubi for the rest of the school year never go to this school neverrrrrrrrrrrrr in your life go to this school"

"I believe this school is very under estimated. By word of mouth I was told it was a horrible school so I was afraid to put my son there. I have never felt so much love, care, consideration, honesty, communication, compassion and understanding from a school so far. The work is challenging for those kids, they always have different things going on for them as to make them feel welcomed and part of the school. Mr. Kane is a great Dean, very caring and understanding to those kids. The Principal Mr. Noyes also loves, cares and is there for those kids 100% and it's done greatly genuinely. The front desk staff is also awesome. To be honest I have encountered greatness from the majority of the staff and I'm PROUD to be a part of that school. My greatest lesson has been to always give someone or someplace a chance no matter what u hear. The way they have given it to those kids. ❤❤ I have been blessed and I am forever greatful."

"My son went there for 1 st grade. He did not like it bc the teachers did not understand him. Teachers were always complaining about his behavior but they could figure out how to deal with him. Which in my opinion is the most crucial part of been a teacher. Understanding you students and making them feel like they belong there. Thrive them to be great and learn. Fortunately highlands elementary did understand him and now he is happy with his school environment."
