"It’s a good middle school but you get CIRs way too easily. Also we have literally the same thing for lunch everyday so it gets boring after a while. But overall, great teachers/staff and students"

"My daughter attended this school for 2 years. At first it seemed normal, but as the couple of years went by, my child was exhausted. The lunch is terrible, and my child and her peers sometimes can’t even eat. From what I have heard, most of the teachers are really nice and understanding. But they do have favorites. My child and most of her history class in 8th grade, was terrible for her. She couldn’t take it, and she was so ready to leave by the end of the year. Her history teacher favorited some students and treated other like garbage. My daughter was one of the students treated poorly. Whenever she would come home from school, she would be very upset, even crying telling me that her history teacher hates her and she is being yelled at for no reason. My daughter is a good kid and she wouldn’t do anything too rash to make her teacher so upset with her. She told me that a few of her friends were treated the same way, but her other peers weren’t. I notice that the kids who were being mistreated were colored, and most the students who were treated nicely were white. My child is Hispanic. The teacher even made her fill out 2 CIR’s and when she respectfully asked what the reasons was he told her to sit own and fill it out. The teacher would always change the subject. When my daughter gave the teacher the CIR back, he yelled at her saying that the reason she got a CIR was because she was being “disruptive”. There were so many other kids in the class being disruptive and he did not care. There were other things that had happened in that classroom but that is just one think I will talk about. Other than that, I believe that the dress code is not necessary. Plus, most of the administrators are rude."

"Listen this school isn't the worst even if people make it out to be. The teachers I'll admit do need a bit more work on communication and understanding. The school lunch provided isn't awesome. But it's better than liberty ( which has a lot of fights). The people at Horizon are slightly better , but that slim to none chance helps a lot for you to go further in the school year."

"This school was good at first until you get targeted by teachers. The teachers at this school act so Much like the kids that it’s hard to tell them apart. As soon as your in the teachers line of fire you will get in trouble for pretty much anything. I do feel bullied by the teachers and not comfortable just being me around them. I’ve had more problems with them than the students over things being blown out of proportion, name calling, openly gossiping about students and outburst of personal matters. I don’t want to go here anymore and I don’t feel safe at all. If your child has any disorder or mental issue like depression, ADHD, anxiety, and Autism I HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU DO MOT LET THEM GO HERE. Trying to explain that you have these thing is just excuses for the school."
